The 04 alliance kids practiced with the Revs yesterday. That's where the parents can see the Revs superior level. If they get the offer they will come. Everyone does.

And then they'll get that deer in the headlights look of "oh sh*t what have we gotten ourselves into" and post on a similar thread next year. A tale as old as time....

I thought the Europe conversation was productive and informative until the angry dads start bickering for no apparent reason.

Only if their little stars can't handle the increased speed of play

A European option will be out of reach for most. Not only will.most not possess the skills but most can't just pick and move to Europe. There are severe residency and work restrictions.

Bickering dad's will always exist, just the names change. They all think their kids are better than they are

Europe doesn't make sense unless you are willing to take a very big educational risk.

Having worked with young overseas interns and multi-nationals in my office, the educational risk is nil. They are more qualified out of university than many US graduate students. They know more about American history than our kids...and that is their weakest subject.

Lived in two European countries for work and totally agree. Our public education is a joke compared to most European countries. Everyone learns multiple languages, has a better knowledge of world affairs, teachers are more qualified and better paid, college is so affordable it's almost free (and in some place it is free). To get that here you have to pay big bucks for prep/private school or to live in a costly school district. Even then it's not the same.

Most South American countries yes. Most European countries absolutely not - it's a big upgrade. Living abroad anywhere affords incredible life lessons

Especially if the education you are looking for involves pedophilia.

Very true. US educational system is falling behind rapidly. Scary actually.

And the number of soccer players going to university in Europe is also nil.
