I don't think that is what this thread is about. Are there some bitter parents? Of course....but overall this thread is about lack of development at the Revs and the overall culture that seems more focused on short term rather than long term results. Plus the frustration by lack of investment in the program and team by some of the richest owners in the league.

Experienced parents here also knows the whole "if your unhappy at the Revs then leave" isn't that simple. If you haven't gotten to U15 you may not yet to understand the ramifications of the decision making. The fact of the matter is they are MLS & it does open up opportunities that other clubs may not be able to offer. It's just a fact. So people feel stuck. Hence venting on this thread.

This thread has been valuable to me to go in eyes wide open. When your kid is playing at this level there is a passion and intensity that goes along with it. For me it was just fun and games until all of the sudden it wasn't. The onus is on the parent to make sure that their kids is in the right environment which can been incredibly stressful.

What are the "opportunities" that you and others find so irresistible? It is all fun and games unless you're the one player tabbed every other year group or so that's going to be a home-grown signing and even that's not a golden ticket to whatever. If it's not fun and games and does put stress on you, the player, or the entire family, it's maybe time to take a deep breath.

Well then clearly your kid isn't up to the level my kid is - so therefore word of advice - stick to high school soccer. DA not even a ride worth getting on.

We're a joke to the rest of the country. Mid-Atlantic NPL programs would take us to the woodshed. We are basically high school soccer without the toughness. We're doughy. Our coaching is suspect. We struggle against the local pay to play DA club. We have kids fleeing the program for ISL high school soccer. What are you talking about? You are an idiot.

Just looking at the U16/17 playing time for the fall. I am shocked at how many players have fallen from being "top" (i.e. favored) players.
