I do have a younger player. My guess is that the negative posts are from parents of players who were never selected, or have been cut, do not see many minutes, or went to Portugal. The parents of kids developing well probably keep quiet.

Revs are a microcosm of US soccer. The whole system stinks. Did you catch the u17 Championship today? We are so far behind other company countries it's extraordinary. And attitudes thinking that good things are happening there in foxboro, at least relative to other countries will consistently mean that this country will stay mediocre. That's what's frustrating to a me.

No, that is not what I am talking about. I mean the US is competing against countries whose top players leave school at 16. I am very happy the US links education and Soccer the way it does, so my kid is still getting a full education while he is at the Revs.

For the first time in the Academy's history, the Revs are holding free ID centers for multiple age groups starting next week. My guess is that this is Scales last hurrah at showing his superiors he gives a sh it about his job. Probably hearing rumblings he's being sh it canned.

That or they're just getting desperate for talent. Already trying to identify new players to bring in next year to replace all the ones they'll cut and the end of the year. Holding ID clinics is way easier than actual scouting.
