You obviously have no knowledge as to why MPS is playing Sub Reg1 but if you do some research here you will find the answer as its was discussed earlier. As far as SC goes, they are getting better and have won a great many games against the D1 teams, including ours. They do their fair share of Vegas', CASL, PDA as well.

They are playing SUB Region 1 because they couldn't compete against the teams in Region 1 or Red Bull!!

As for tournaments, the U16g couldn't get into Vegas or PDA this year (and yes, they did apply to both).... They didn't even apply for the Disney Tournament, as they are unlikely to be considered. The U17g Renegades got into Vegas only because of one of their parent's connections in Vegas. In the CASL tournament they were in one of the lower brackets. I have no rub against MPS but people of this forum should understand who/what MPS is ....they are a good, second-tier team and might qualify for the State Cup RR.

They want to compete at the upper levels but for most of their teams, neither Boston nor the Cape can compete at the top-tier until after the showcase years. The organization claims that they don't care to compete at that level because, "they focus more on training". If they were less concerned about money and the profits from their Development Program and SOE, and focused more on the Premier teams, they'd combine the best of the two programs (Cape & Boston) and potentially have a national-level team.

Uhmm...no. They are playing there because the league they did use for SC qualification folded and this was an alternative. Its just a means to an end.

they couldn't compete against the teams in Region 1 or Red Bull!! There arent many in Maple who can compete here either so what?

Whats more is all clubs have different successes with all age groups: some stronger than others so what you are spouting off over is not really news.

And finally - showcase years are 16/17? Again, some of the teams can compete as was just shown in Vegas by the 17s.

          Thanks for playing.

          Jordan fades back...another 3 pointer!

The U-16 boys lost every game in State Cup 3-0. The Super-Y league is a joke, so is Super Y ODP. So MPS is a lose-lose situation. They should just form a club because they aren't bringing up any good players. Nobody wants to play in a league over the summer when you sit around all winter and spring.

450 Kids= Who Simply Aren't that Good. Almost every MPS team is bad compared to the competition in Maple. There is no signifigance in having 450 kids unless they are developing talent.
