Not at U16 - either Gaels wins state cup or uses the wildcard. If Gaels wins state cup - Bethesda uses the wildcard.

When the now U17 girls team lost their state cup in something like the first round the parents rallied around and got the coach fired. This may be an interesting year for PDA - two girls teams won state cup and two boys teams. That's it. Montclair had three girls teams as state cup winners.

Wouldn't call it the back door! They were finalists in Delaware last weekend.

U17 Stars can book their trip to regionals now - whether or not they win state cup.

The NJ state cup results had no effect at U16 where the finalist Bethesda had already lost their state cup and would take the wild card if the champion won their state cup.

There will only be one U15 girls team from Massachusetts attending (there was a chance for two in that age group.)

There is a chance for two Massachusetts teams to attend at U14 - in the unlikely event Scorpions loses state cup.
