If you really want your kid to experience soccer in Europe, send them to a high school exchange program and they can be on a mid level club for a season.

pay-to-play relies on spending and dreams
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostUmm, all of Europe is on "Holiday" for the summer. Who are they going to train with?
The better trips are during April Vacation, at least the good youth clubs are around to train with.
Europe is abandoned only in August.
Until the US pay-to-play model is replaced with a wholly subsidized program selling top-notch players, there is very little chance to develop advanced players short of spending $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and chasing dreams. At least this provides both to US boys n girls.
Relatively few people with beaucoup d'argent want to be professional athletes.
