All these stats are probably close, but don't discount the huge fact that many of these D1 players are getting into very good schools that they would have not have been academically eligible for, had it not been for soccer. Some may forfeit a scholarship (if they had one) once they leave the team for whatever reason, but they are still in the school. So if they don't make the roster after a Freshman or Sophomore year, it is still is a home run. I would guess at least 70% fall into this category -
Looks like over 70 boys (from different schools and clubs) playing a good amount of soccer as Freshman. Congrats to all!
