Not a valid question. How many of the kids on this list were wearing ankle bracelet for beating a homeless person ?

Ah, there we go. So looks like that is the reason for your blatant racial prejudice. Let it all out.

Brining it to an even lower level of d bag. He's been open about his mistakes and is trying to move on. Maybe you should also.

OP's jealousy and bitterness is stunning isn't it?

No malicious intent here. There is no one else on the list going to an Ivy league D1. Christian Sady got in last year. How were his grades / scores? My question is not aimed to belittle AK or CS (and I didn't post the other comments regarding AK). I'm asking in general because it seems that Harvard does seem partial (the kid who made the Seattle Sounders a few years ago is another example that comes to mind). Not saying it's bad of Harvard to do this but it would be good if kids who are great soccer players with good (but not stellar) grades/scores know this- maybe they can give Harvard a shot?

Did AK do this? If so, how is that racial prejudice?

OP here. This is at least the third time you have begun personal attacks on this young man.
                Please stop.

Putting aside the inapporpriate comment and getting at the academic component - some schools will completely overlook academics and some won't budge on their standards no matter what. Most are probably somewhere in between and will take an athlete who might be "close" to the requirements but not quite there. Personally I think it's foolish to send a kid to a school where he/she might be in over their heads. Even with academic support it's a great deal of pressure that some can't handle. A stretch is ok, over-reach not so much.

However, in general it's really between the player, his family, the coach and the university. No one really knows the situation except those groups. Any speculation on grades, test scores, scholarships, etc. is just that - speculation.

OP here. Amherst has one of the finest D3 soccer programs in the country, always in the national picture. It also has a Liberal arts program second to none. In my coaching experience, I have met only a handful of players who possess the soccer skills, academic aptitude and interest to tackle such an endeavor. I don't know this player, but I wish him well. I'm sure Amherst soccer will meet his expectations.

Saw this on the Blazers website. http://www.fcblazers.com/clubinfo/Co...s/index_E.html It lists several players on it that I think never actually wore a Blazer's uniform because they actually played for the Bolts back when FO was with them. Listing them as though the played for the Blazers like that strikes me as a little shady if you ask me.

When it come to hype, Blazers are the slimiest club out there. They will lie about anything in order to create the illusion of greatness

Who are you referring to and what college is he planning on playing soccer for?

Plenty of clubs claim they "developed" players, even if they player was there for one year when they were nine. Blazers aren't the only ones out there. As for them being in the "lowest" bracket in FL, 1) no one (including probably organizers) care about that age group 2) it's still a good tournament and plenty of teams are rejected. Blazers are in - good for them

Three ridiculous posts that highlight an obsession with FO and the Blazers. Although posters (not necessarily the third one) want to hate FO and the Blazers they clearly recognize his ability to coach and teach. Many clubs wish that they have had as many solid teams as FO has had and have had years with as much success as the Blazers have had. However, FO is not a warm/touchy guy so it is easier to dislike him, the club, and the kids and parents associated with him/it.

                              1. Again I ask, which players does FO/Blazers claim to be theirs that are not.
                              2. For Disney, as per a prior poster, there were three showcase groups (the better teams), three premier, and three championship divisions under the U19 listing. The Blazers were within one of the Showcase divisions and finished first in their bracket tied with the #4 ranked team in the country. Post bracket play PKs determined which team goes on to the final game. Nevertheless, any suggestion that the Blazers were entered into the lowest or even a lower bracket is ludicrous, wrong, and just down-right blatantly fabricated.
                              3. As for the U18 division in youth soccer, I suspect that the competition will be strong as colleges want their future recruits to continue on until the summer tryouts begin. In Mass, the Stars, NEFC, and Blazers will be strong. Sorry GPS but you are definitely no better than 4th in this non-DAP group. Whether or not any of these teams will be this Spring is getting more doubtful as the NPL teams are developing their own National championship.

Simple question, did those Bolts players from FO's great Bolts team wear a Blazers uniform? If not, they belong on FO's personal resume page, not on a list of committed players for a club that didn't even exist when those players committed. It's false advertising.
