Originally posted by Unregistered View PostNot affilliated with Blazers, but in light of the tumult at the club and the defection of the very good U14 team (and coach) to Scorpions, the performance of that U12 (now U13) team is pretty impressive. That team was solidly mediocre at the U10 and U11 age levels. Its now one of the best teams playing at its age level. Maybe there has been some recruitment in the interim, but it looks to me like, whatever people may think of him, FO can coach.

Which would be the case here. I'm no fan of FO and would never let my son play for him. But the claim that they are the same as NE Rush is preposterous.

And even if they had left because they went to another club, I would say that's not too bad. Every team loses one or two kids for a variety of reason and it's not necessarily an indictment on the coach or club. To be very clear, I've never said that the Blazers are better than another club. Every club has positives and negatives. It's all about what is best for a particular kid. Some kids do better with a coach that is a bit more laid back and others do better with a coach that is more intense. As intense as FO is, I can tell you that my son loves playing for him. That's all that matters to me - he's enjoying it and he's continuing to learn and develop. As a parent I can't ask for much more. That's the "end of the argument" for me.
