That team was solidly mediocre at the U10 and U11 age levels. Its now one of the best teams playing at its age level. Maybe there has been some recruitment in the interim, but it looks to me like, whatever people may think of him, FO can coach.
And I should have asked, what do you think would qualify as "important" or worthy of talking about? The Stars cup this weekend?

That is so funny. I know many parents whose phone rang off the hook this summer from some guy from the Blazers trying to fill spots on this so called amazing u13 team who are apparently going to dominate the world. Same old crap from a small club who can't remain relevant. 2-3 decent players that for whatever reason have hung on, and suddenly Francis is the best around. then why isn't he coaching in an MLS Youth Academy?

I'll let you and your son figure that one out.

Wrong again. There was heavy recruiting for one of the other age groups, but not the U13 team. They lost a couple of players who moved and replaced with 3 others I think, but didn't need more then that.

Great answer. You are critical, but yet you clearly don't know enough about the landscape to identify what qualifies as being worthy of comment. Let me guess, you son plays in one of the other leagues and they have brainwashed you into believing that is the only league that matters. Ha, you are probably one of those parents that got sucked into either MPS or NEFC - clubs that are all about the mighty dollar and really don't care about developing talent. You do know that it is a pure business for them, correct? If you don't, you will grow up and find out soon enough.

Okay, so you think FO is the "best around" but you did admit 3 kids have left. That makes no sense at all. Enough with the my club is better than your club juvenile banter. The Blazers are no different than the NE Rush. Just a small irrelevant organization. End of argument.

Pro tip: When you end your argument with "End of argument" (or "Period"), that means "I can't possibly defend what I just said, so I'll pretend this is the end of the argument as I'm about to get crushed."

Which would be the case here. I'm no fan of FO and would never let my son play for him. But the claim that they are the same as NE Rush is preposterous.

I said two kids left and they left because they moved, meaning that the families moved out of state. And even if they had left because they went to another club, I would say that's not too bad. Every team loses one or two kids for a variety of reason and it's not necessarily an indictment on the coach or club. To be very clear, I've never said that the Blazers are better than another club. Every club has positives and negatives. It's all about what is best for a particular kid. Some kids do better with a coach that is a bit more laid back and others do better with a coach that is more intense. As intense as FO is, I can tell you that my son loves playing for him. That's all that matters to me - he's enjoying it and he's continuing to learn and develop. As a parent I can't ask for much more. That's the "end of the argument" for me.

I guess judging from what we saw today in a terrible game played by two terrible teams, namely, Blazers and PTUSA, I was right. Maple's best U13's are just very ,very average teams.

While all the NEP teams were playing, exciting, skillful, top class soccer (not) .... Pay to play. Roll up roll up and join the NEP circus.... All credit cards and checks are most welcome.

That's all you got? BU13 Blazers are a pitiful team. Maple, ha ha ha!!

That Blazers team that you claim that will be "near the top" of Maple's BU13 league is not good at all. What disjointed soccer they play. Just very poor. 1-1 tie against another poor team, PTUSA. Thought I was watching a U8 coed game. Really!
