Doesn't wrap the NEP or Got Soccer points in glory either. A D3 Maple team has beaten all 3 GPS NEP teams including destroying the low NEP teams and beating the undefeated D2 NEP GPS team in the semi's.

Seriously. You're bragging about beating a GPS third or fourth team. Not to mention. You have no idea if these teams are missing players at a year end tournament like this. Play their top teams and tyem get a slice of reality.

Wasn't bragging. Not part of either team, but was there. Just pointing out to all the NEP promoters that always brag about how much better their league is vs Maple. I know that most of the NEP clubs have their 4th and 5th teams in NEP which is why their argument is lame. And how much more do you think those 4th and 5th teams charge versus the small clubs A team? I was just pointing out the disparity. And you are right, GPS top team would probably easily dispose of Nor'easter, but what does that say about the GPS disparity between their top team and their others?

It is sad that this whole blog has been nothing but griping about playing soccer and who is better than who. What ever happened to enjoying playing this beautiful game for the fun and opportunity to be with friends enjoying a nice weekend on a soccer field. Any chance to play a fun soccer game should be embraced, not shunned. If these parents hate the game so much, then go play another sport with your time. For me, the thought of spending Father's Day watching my kids play this great game, and then going home to watch some World Cup is the best Father's Day I could ask for. I feel sad for those that felt otherwise.

What does it matter what league a team plays in? The teams that are in the league are what define the quality of the league, not vice versa. The NEP vs MAPLE debate is actually pretty stupid because no matter how you slice you are comparing bottom tier teams. These are all players who are playing simply for the fun of it, not with any greater purpose so it is not clear why your constant need to promote MAPLE even matters. Who is really even listening to this? Do you actually think parents care about this?

I love the sport and my son loves the sport too. We woke up Sunday morning at had pick up soccer with some friends.Many of the father brought their kids boys and girls and they played on the field next to us. It was great no worries about who beat who or what is better Town vs club or NEP vs Maple. The best part was that it cost us $0.00. We did have to buy our kids some ice cream because the ice cream truck found us about 15 minutes left to our game.
