Not a Valeo fan but have to agree long ride then play TSF is a bad mix

They should have forfeited and just played their home game against Beachside. They would've been better off. It was supposed to be a neutral site but that did not mean central clearly! Ridiculous drive for one game or even two. I hope our team does not sign up for the open cup next year now that they know the drill.

What are the point chasers going to do when all leagues are required to go strictly by birth year??? Not just the academy's.

Whatever....it was a tough day. Not the loss, but the drive and stress on making the game on time while the opposition was local.

EDP sent out the schedule and location too late.

Is it true they drove almost to Philadelphia today? That is 12 hour roundtrip. Hope they got some cushy hotels to lounge in because no one does this to a serious soccer team.

TSF would not have a prayer if they came to Valeo, just with 3.5 hour drive. The fact is that the EDP teams that have come to Valeo have been crushed. Travel does make playing more difficult. If TSF was really that good, they would have crushed Valeo after their 6 hr drive.

Tournament travel is one thing. But Valeo has traveled to 2x to CT and NJ for spring league games and have done pretty well. But its the home games with the big scores. Maybe Valeo is getting used to travel, but TSF had a huge advantage. Like huge. WUP should do fine.

Valeo hit two crossbars in first half led 1-0
TSF came out firing in second half and put two in in first ten minutes up 2-1
Valeo carried play rest of game but just couldn't put one in

TSF was very physical and excelled at pulling jerseys but got called at least three times for it and got a yellow card for dirty play

Yellow should have been a red!

But it was the dirt field in my opinion. Yes, weak legs but on turf, TSF would be no match even with the drive. Valeo has absolutely no clue how to play kick and run.

It was a stupid trip for a game on s crappy field. EDP should have done better. A good day to chill....until MAPLE calls....No!!!!!!

This is coming down the road. Next year will have many changes. Birth year 2002 will be U14 next year.
