This is the only reason why GPS Monster would be taking potshots at a small town based club and its parents and players. Petty, anyone?

That is a funny perspective seeing as though NU was not in the tournament. Regardless, NU handily and regularly beat GPS teams.
The NU/Valeo U11 team that played in U12 Maple White was in the tournament. Really sad the excuses and deflection.
It is all the GPS Monster team. Ingrates, after GPS help train several of the boys on NU/Valeo through their club and this camps.

I remain annoyed that we knew nothing of the VW Junior Masters being held at Needham Memorial Day tournament. Call me whatever you want, but I'd still like to know why GPS withheld this information from the regional clubs. We are not being "petty" when expressing annoyance because most of the boys on our team will never have a chance to play in this tournament again. Yes, it is wonderful that GPS won, but we would have liked a chance to play.

don't play ignorant

NU Green U11 and Valeo U11 which played in White U12, and 2 NU and 2 Valeo U12s were mixed for one team, while the rest of NU Green U11, many Valeo U11 which played in White U12, some Valeo Real Madrid Red U11, were mixed for another team.
Some U11s had to fill in for the weakened U12 teams, Real Madrid players had to play for the Real Madrid games, some U12's had to play 8 games that weekend. One of the VW teams played a few men down for the beginning of their games because of game conflicts and a no show. The boys did not even know each other names as the clubs just merged and many had never played 11 v 11.
In all, a very hectic weekend. The teams all performed better than expected even against a NH GPS team that was disqualified with older players. Not one person mentioned the yellow GPS team, except to wish them luck.

12 not 11
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostDifferent poster. The GPS NH team had overage players and this was no secret during the tournament. It's basically the same issue as above, GPS used it's position as tournament organizer to its benefit as tournament participant. Obvious conflict of interest: make sure people don't know the details before or during the tournament in an effort to win at all costs. It was also probably technically not against the rules for GPS to fly in players from NC to win but please don't try to dress this up as some sort brilliant tactical move. Rules are only created because some jackass does something so ridiculous that nobody else would have even considered. Flying in 11 year olds. If there are some stupid GPS parents impressed with all this then they get what they deserve. Certainly players know what GPS stands for: cheaters.
