You take a few early bloomers whose petals are starting to fade and you throw them a sliver of hope. The fact is if a kid has NT potential they WOULD be invited and wouldn't have to rely on politics to worm a slot into one of the first round camps. JD is just pimping his reputation to keep his club afloat. At this point he has only one team (these 14's) that are anywhere close to being a top level team but they are heading in the same direction all of the other teams from all of the other clubs are - towards mediocrity. He knows that he needs to infuse more talent into this team which is why he is recruiting this age group so hard.
Perhaps none of the current Stars players will play in a World Cup or make a full NT. Those spots are for the rare few with the talent and skill and work rate to get there and stay there over many years. But getting kids a chance to test themselves at those camps and get some extra exposure is a good thing. Stars can and will be criticized for lots of flaws, but the # of kids getting camp exposure shouldn't be one of them.

It is certainly not like this thing was kept very quiet so if you want to talk about being brazen why don't you turn it around think about how brazen soliciting other club's players before the end of the year is.
The idea of it being "brazen" makes no sense. If the players and their families are happy with the coaching and competition, happy with their rate of development and the exposure they're getting - they'll stay. If not, they'll go where they think they'll do better.
If other clubs wanted to recruit Stars players, they can do it too. In most cases, they either know that they don't have enough to offer or they simply don't want them.

Pretty sick people who only care about themselves and ego instead of developing current team.

I think this thread confirms that the "crazy" torch has just been passed from the u-16 parents to the u-14 parents. You should feel so proud.......

So- a team that consistently beats JD's team should have some NT camp invites also, correct? Does anyone know how many NT invitees are on the u14 PDA or world class team?

Really???
MM and KH are both really talented players no matter who they play for. KH will not be playing she has an injury. It is a shame that parents here think they can assess a player better than people who are doing it day in and day out. Stars, NEFC, PDA etc all ahve talented players.
People these are U15 players and kids at that. Take a step back and congratulate them for what they have accomplished not what others have done to get them there. I dont think that NT would say hey he said they were good lets just add them. There is a process in place and a mediocre kid is not going to make it.
with that said I say congrats to all because my child is not good enough to play at this level. Parents are insane on this site and if you just took a step back and asked yourself if this is worth it putting down kids this age then you must have serious issues when you were growing up. I just tip my cap and say good luck and stay healthy. Congratulations on your accomplishment and I hope you make it.

By your reasoning then, teams that have proven themselves superior to JD's must have girls that are worth a chance at NT status also? Yet, they are not getting that chance. Why????
