2014 D1 Boys Playing
Our first look at the Freshman. We are starting with 39 on the D1 list, second only to 50 for 2013's. This post will look at those playing a lot, defined by starting 50% or more of the games to date.
Player/Team/Games/GP/GS/G/A
Frantsdy Pierrot/Northeastern/5/5/5/1/0
Harrison Swartz/Northeastern/5/5/5/0/0
Henry Balf/BC/5/5/5/0/0
Idrissa Bangura/BC/5/5/5/0/0
Ackim Mpofu/Northeastern/5/4/3/1/0
Matt Mooney/UMass/5/5/4/0/0
Brandon Vasquez/UMass/5/5/3/0/0
Will Rasid/UNH/5/5/3/0/0
Noah Teperow/UML/5/5/3/0/0
So only 9 of 39 are playing a lot, similar to the smaller 2010-12 classes. Note that all these players are from local schools. The next post will include subbing a lot.

2014 D1 Boys Playing
Next we look at those players subbing a lot. This includes those playing in 50% or more of the games so far.
Player/Team/Games/GP/GS/G/A
John Conry/Bryant/5/5/2/0/0
Dan Casey/CCSU/3/2/1/0/0
Tyler Symkowicz/UMass 5/5/1/0/0
Alex Desantis/UMass/5/4/0/0/0
Alex Ainscough/Stanford/4/4/0/0/0
Mario Prata/Seton Hall/4/2/0/0/0
So of the 39 kids, only 15 are getting much playing time. So what about the other 24? I will cover that in the next post.

2014 D1 Boys Not Playing
Of the remaining 24 players, the breakdown is as follows:
6 saw the field
14 DNP yet
4 are not rostered
A big and expected hit involves the UML recruits, as only 2 of 7 Freshman have played so far.

So we'll see how it goes. As far as comparing the two categories, 2013 had over 30 playing and 2014 has 15. That is a big difference.
