I highly doubt one kid can win a game for a team. I am curious though and will check them out myself sometime.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostI looked back through thread and that is not what was said. I meant to cite the post # but now don't feel like going back to find it. It was definitely a non-NU parent that suggested "an exceptional player" was hurt because the rest of their post was trash-talking NU dad's non-exceptional player. There are several of those peppered since this past Sunday.

Is his son exceptional? Does he think his son will become exceptional with Valeo coaching? Or is he questioning the training? I mean, he has brought this point up several times now. What is the point exactly?

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostSo it is true, you are still talking about this game. Newton United is about player development, not club or team promotion. That game against NEFC was the best thing that happened to the players from a developmental standpoint (besides the BS on TS I hear about). Isn't that what's important, player development at age 9 and 10? Because one of the boys had a serious injury on the field and the team had 50% new players, several adjustments were made on subsequent games. Unexpectedly, those adjustments worked better than predicted as new strengths were identified.
That game has long been forgotten by NU boys, but please continue to use it for your blogger fodder. The important focus for us and the players is how they develop moving forward. See you on the field.
Have a great day, guys!

So, what's on tap this weekend? Town or club tournaments?
