Ageed it could be better but when we look to add players it's usually word of mouth. Kids want to play other kids they know already. We want to put the best team we can on field but it really doesn't make sense to take on kids from to far. It's hard enough get around Newton atrush never mind coming from other towns.

I'm sure you do not mean what you are writing, but to be honest, your comments are troubling. Kids want to play with like minded kids. If they know them great but its not a requirement. Wow, exclusive, elitists, cult-like.

Yeah right yourself. We happen to know some people are upset that NU is expanding and have included several players from outside of Newton. Why anyone would care is beyond me. Cut the posts if you want us to go away because I hate coming here too.

And none of us care if anyone here thinks Newton United is a top team or not. The team will continue to play at the highest level possible and will be grateful to tournament directors who seed the team in the highest divisions. So go talk about the other listed teams--there is nothing interesting going on with NU. Good bye.

This is not true. NU is open to having anyone tryout at any time. The boys do not care if they know the kids or not. All new players are welcomed by them.

Traffic is bad in Newton but it is not prohibitive to players from other towns to make practice (as they do).

Please say you mean it! Are you really going away? This is our dream! Everyone from your team is moving to Florida to be the National Champions in the Mickey Mouse tournament. FYI: Everyone but you knows they are an average team (Nothing top about them) Just Sayin!

So the U11 class is so amazingly deep that we should be able to build a regional team in 2016-17 that has a hope of competing with California, Virginia, NY, etc.?

NEFC U11 boys did well in Bethesda last year and they are attending again.

I guess 1-1-1 is okay. They probably could have gone 1-1-1 in MA without the expense.
