NU proved they are not very competitive. Have to go with what happened on the field. Someone mentioned that Valeo actually beat NEFC in march. If that is true, it's a lot different than a 7-2 spanking. Got to go by results on the field, sorry. Maybe NU will improve over time. If they do better against some real completion please let us know ok?

Sorry Valeo Dad. Not impressed with Valeo either. Columbus Day tournament looks like a waste of gas.

I think its about the individuals. Each team has a few good players, but which team has the exceptional players?

Valeo boys are good. I would not say exceptional. I don't see them following in their big brother footsteps and dominating at U12. Maybe they will recruit some better players. NEFC Central would definitely beat them.

Yes, 1-0. But both teams added players so not really the same teams. Valeo hasn't accomplished anything yet. Can they play with NEFC or WU? Absolutely.

Anyone can play with anyone. Almost 75% of the NEFC team is the same. None of the teams have accomplished anything. We as parents are proud of every win and performance but let's be real.

I would agree with this list having seen four of the five play multiple games over the past 24 months. I haven't seen NU and think it is reasonable to include them in based on their body of work.

Body of work??? At least NEFC and Valeo parents say their boys haven't accomplished anything yet (and NEFC won Stars). What "body of work" have these 10 years accomplished?

The same point could be made for WUP, which has really only played weak teams as well. I would hardly call them one of the two best teams in the state.

This is a very good point. Unless someone on here has seen all of theses teams play all we can go by is wins,loses and GD. There are many other factors to consider. Style of play and certain match ups are much more important at this age. GD and record only tell part of the story just like this Valeo v scorps game or NU v NEFC game. I am sure there is more to the story, I was not there so I can not comment. I did witness the WU v hammer game though and although hammer fought hard this was not a close game. The shot total, I am not even exaggerating might have been 50-2. The goalie was huge and played fantastic! The score was 3-2 in favor of and WU scored an own goal. Hammer did work very hard. Score lines def do not tell the whole story. This WU team is a good team that is still growing like the rest of them so we shall see. I am sure this NU and Valeo are great teams and I hope we get to see them play. I will reserve any judgement until then and not base it on any result of any single game. Another team to watch is FSA. The results can't tell the story because I have seen them and the scores in NEP do not match the type of team they are unless they entered a "B" team?

No one said anything about accomplishing anything. Your trying to add meaning to a phrase that doesn't exist. What don't you get about "body of work" meaning they've won a few games, they've lost a few games, they've played some better teams, they've played some teams that are not as good... and in totality, they appear to be a pretty decent team? Seems pretty obvious to me. More importantly, your lack of knowledge of this age group is readily apparent to us as the core of most of these teams have been together for at least two years. Of course, a few players come and go each spring and fall due to a whole host of reasons but it generally is not having massive impacts to the teams - the teams that were playing pretty well as eight year olds are still playing pretty well as ten year olds. Gotta love the TS boards though - it certainly is entertaining.

It will be a fun Sunday at Lancaster! I'm looking forward to the WUP games! If they are 1/2 as good as billed its worth missing the second half of a blowout.
