And they never win without claiming that they could have scored at least 3 more goals.

You are an ***. There is a far wider issue here, but since your kid doesn't play in Region 1 you don't know that.

No there isn't. You guys just can't handle losing. And you're right, my kid doesn't play in Region 1. She plays for a team that loses more than half the games. She seems well adjusted and, most importantly, can lose with class without making excuses. Actually, I bet the kids on the team are fine. It seems like the parents have the problem based upon what I read on this site.

Let's have just one Star's U16 parent write that the team lost fair and square to PDA and tied LI fairly. No ref, travel, injury excuses. I don't think it's possible.

oops. forget to add blaming the goalie. I can't believe you guys actually blame the poor goalie for your loses (let up rebound!). Great team spirit.

You seem to miss the fact that the post was not written by a Stars United parent and the issues brought up affect several teams in the league, not just the Stars United.

I figured as much, because you'd be whining your *** off in this forum if it meant you were faced with 10 times the cost that PDA parents do in both terms of dollars and time spent to play in this league..

I don't see anyone making excuses. Just stating the facts.

Need to change the mindset at the top of the organization first

There are no rose colored glasses comparing the mileage of teams in the R1PL.

I'm a Stars parent (U15) and don't think this is such a big deal. We pay and travel plenty when travelling to Vegas, Disney, and PDA. We are willing to pay plenty to go to WV if we make it that far. Sure, we have to travel more for a few Region 1 games but in the scheme of things, it's not a big deal. I'm sure in future years it will be reversed. And although you think you're just writing facts, they come across as excuses so as a clubmate, I'd say tone it down. The U16s had a rough weekend. It happens. I'm sure they'll be fine in the future.

It wasn't posted by a Stars parent.

It really isn't that big of a deal. It was one game and after lots of travel and attending probably over 100 of these things the parents have come to expect a full range of results . PDA is a great team and deserved the win. I am pretty confident that the two teams will meet again, probably before the end of the year, so the Stars will get another shot. Hopefully the result will be different. That being said, the poster should realize that when two historically strong teams meet, the result is based on many factors, including travel, injuries, rest, adjustments ect. When you lose a game you need to do a realistic evaluation of the whys so that you can get back in the right direction. Don't confuse that evaluation with whining or a "lack of class". You are correct that ultimately it is about the girls, who I guaranty have not made any excuses but are now focused on this coming Saturday and their next opponents. Good luck to your daughter and her team. Hopefully they will continue to enjoy their experience and improve as soccer players and young ladies.

Stars parents haven't posted about the U16 games this past weekend against Syosset and PDA? Sorry, my bad.

It is a big deal. The cost of playing soccer has become a rich kids sport. Those who head up our youth organizations have a responsibility to control those costs because there is no obvious motivation to do so by parents such as yourself.

Reference to the post that the U15 Stars parent was replying to. Try to keep up, will you?
