C'mon, girls beating boys one on one...please!!
My son plays ice hockey on a travel team. His sisters play elite travel soccer. He used to play soccer. Soccer players are wimps compared to hockey players. If they had checking and fighting (at the MLS level), men's soccer would be more entertaining instead of the mentallity of "he touched my leg so now I have to fall into the fetal position and cry like a girl . . . except girls don't cry when they fall in soccer." Where's the zzzzz guy? If ever a thread deserves it, it's this one...

For those of you trashing girls/women's soccer, crawl back into your cave.

Girls soccer is different than boys. I have seen no girl soccer player that can beat the boys on our team, particularly one on one. But the point of discussing girls soccer on the U11 boys thread was because a team from NY has a girl on it. It seems that boys are not comfortable playing with girls in that they step back in fear of hurting them (regardless of whether they could). Girls soccer is fine. Boys soccer is fine. If there are so many good female soccer players, there should be no need to have them play on boys teams.
        Let's not mix them.

What's the point of comparing the boys and girls. My daughter plays the game at a very high level and does something she loves. As a parent I'm just thankful to not be at a dance recital. New thread please.
I love this post. I agree! Thank goodness we are not at dance recitals!!!! :)

The most elite female athletes play soccer. In the US Mens soccer is about 5th on the list behind football, hoops, baseball and lacrosse. It is for effeminate males who detest physical contact.

Yes, because physical contact is oh so important to demonstrate masculinity in a sport. I love baseball and football the best because even the fat kids can play.

                Total ignorance.

The most popular team sports in the United States, measured by number of participants in 2009, are below. (Most figures are from the 2009 U.S. Census).

                Basketball (24.4 million)
                Baseball (23.3 million)
                Soccer (25.6 million)
                Volleyball (10.7 million)
                Football (8.9 million)
                Hockey (3.1 million)
                Lacrosse (684,730)
                Rugby (335,001)

Your numbers are blatantly wrong, but I'll let somebody else Google for the latest data. The OP's point is that even the most elite female athletes still play like pre-pubescent boys. Years ago, my son's U-16 team dominated the Breakers in a friendly; the physical disparities between the two teams were obvious to the point where I wondered if it was even safe for them to be playing in the first place.

Thanks for proving the point. Elite girls can't even beat effeminate, 5th string boys who could never hope to compete with those pudgy baseball players. That's pretty damning for girls soccer.

I can't believe you guys are keeping a thread alive arguing boys against the girls..Wow. Really, and its not just a TS thing - you need to grow up and get a life. Boys are better than girls Nanny nanny boo boo!!!

So, if your son loves soccer instead of Football he's somehow not masculine? And, haye girls, why even try to plays sports because Boys don't have Koodies and you do!! I have now heard and seen it all.

                      Loser

                        Are you surprised?

Many internet message boards( including this one ) display behavior on the level of Junior High School. That would be understandable if it was children posting , except that there are mostly adults posting.

I know I shouldn't be surprised but when I read the content of the posts I couldn't believe the childish level of dialogue. A new low I guess.
