Rivers beat Lawrence 4-0 last year. I understand Rivers have lost DM and there goalie
But all Lawrence has gained is one player...

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostYes Rivers beat LA 4-0. LA was also down 3 starters who are all key players. 2 of whom where center backs. That's like taking away DM, their goalie and Trevor away for a game. Obviously not the same team. LA has gained a player who happens to be one of the best in the country and who has rivers gained? The real question is the amount of players rivers lost. LA's AK, Aziz and SH are better than anyone on rivers, not even to mention CH, AC and MB. LA was selected Bershire the Class A champs from last year. Who was rivers selected to play, south kent who compleletly flopped last year.

Andover Head Coach, Bill Scott, last week predicted an upset saying that St. Paul's would win the ISL this year. In preseason play, St. Paul's beat Milton and Exeter and nearly won against Andover. Bill Scott said afterward that St. Paul's returns a lot of talent, plays with great experience and field vision, and should be considered an ISL contender alongside Lawrence and Rox Latin. I'm not sure I believe him, any thoughts?

Rivers & Lawrence- Should come down to a very close finish with these two teams. LA has the big stars but Rivers has the depth.
St. Marks- Might have troubles up front but otherwise very strong in the middle with SW and a decent defense.
Milton-Also don't see a big scorer for this team but a great defense with anchors CL and PS.
Groton- They had a fantastic run last year after a rough start and didn't graduate too much talent. Defense might be lacking though. Look for CH to put up numbers.
Bel Hill- Normally puts together a good team, still has a strong defense.
Nobles-Didn't graduate a lot of big players, and supposedly are bringing some in.
Brooks- Returns their keeper and a few players from last year. Some talent coming from JV as well.
BB&N- Had a disappointing year last year with a better team than they will have this year.
RL-Graduated a lot of big players and returned very little. basically just RS
Thayer-Graduated goalie and large portion of starting line-up, but are returning potentially a top scorer in ACH.
St. Pauls- Graduated a few good players from last year, but they should still have a decent team. Could be an upset pick.
St. Georges- wasn't impressed from team last year and they graduated a few players as well.
Middlesex, St. Sebs, Govs- probably another bottom of the table year
**this was pretty tough without the website.

First, it wasn't a lot more points and there is more to a player than points. Second TD isn't a better player. Amadu is getting reruited by just about every top 20 d1 school and is a national team player. Aziz is an amherst commit who also had D1 offers. SH is another National Team player. TD sat on the bemch for his academy team. What offers does TD have? Nice try.
