Where do high school boys soccer teams that participate in NEPSAC Class A rank vs D1 high school teams? Where would the winner of NEPSAC Class A,B, and C rank vs the winner of D1, D2, and D3.

All valid points. Not even close. Not the same atmosphere as a rivalry hs game on a Thursday night but wayyyy better soccer.

That is an extreme example since it is the absolute highest level private school team with international men doing a post graduate year before going to play D1 college soccer, so let's look at Millbrook and Beaver Country Day in the Class C final. Millbrook has two Ghana national team players. It's hard to know how old they are, but they are a sophomore and Junior. They are at a completely different level from any 15 or 16 year old Anerican kids in this state. Beaver has 17 club players on its team (MPS, Revs, Valeo, Hammer, Blazzers, etc) and didn't have a senior in the starting 11 last year. Rivers, top Class B team last fall, also has a roster that is basically all high level club players.

I've heard that all of the other top schools in the area are the same way, but who really knows.

Not only that, but the coaches have told me that they have no pull what-so-ever with the admissions dept. The student needs to meet the academic standards to be considered. The sport only helps because it proves well-roundedness.

But the publics can't match 6 D1 commits and 9 college-age players (no other privates could match that, either, presumably).

Have any of you seen the Berkshire squad this year? A highly respected assistant called the team, the best high school team he had ever seen.
