Exactly. Nobody called it EMass, aside from Alex the alcoholic.

This new format is a big wake up call and eye opener to the western part of the state. Barely even a sniff at a state title.
Must be tough for your to go through your day knowing that you never won a state championship and the only opportunity you have is to live through your child. Good luck to all of the kids moving forward, because its about them and their accomplishments, not their parents failures.

Stop complaining. If western mass teams were good they would travel in win. No more cake walks and extra rest getting to a state final. Welcome to the same path the team in eastern mass have been navigating for years.

I watched a few Newton North games. I've got to say that NN is a decent team overall but I didn't see any field players that can be said "outstanding". Its success so far I would say mainly due to their exceptional goalie performance. They were 50-50 with Winchester and were mostly dominated by Lowell. What made a *HUGE* difference was their goalie. The kid denied 2 penalties and 1 clear goal opportunities against Winchester and again 2 penalties and about 3-4 clear goal opportunities against Lowell. This guy definitely should be Eastern Mass all star or even more.

Agreed. The NNGK was very, very good. Along with Belmont and Lexington keepers best I saw this Fall. I think that it’s a cliche but comes from somewhere in terms of riding a hot gk in a tournament setting.

I don't really know that many coaches to be honest. Only ones I've ever spoken to at length is the coach at Concord-Carlisle and Malden.

But here was another deep run by Newton North as the #16 seed.

They took out #1 seed Everett. I remember nailing that upset pick.

RD been close friends with KBJ Brookline’s Head Coach since their college days at Wheaton. From casual observations RD seems like a good guy more on the low key side.
