MLS has to change, because its EA team will lose so many players if staying in BY. GA/DPL will 100% change. For all revenue and logistic issues, MLSN is forced to join the change.

Not sure what you mean by "it's EA team". If you mean an MLS club has to change because it has its 2d or 3d team in EA, then no. If MLS dictates that MLSN clubs have to stay BY, then those clubs are either going have to leave MLSN, deal with two different cutoffs for their teams, or make all their teams below the top team in MLS stay BY. MLS doesn't have to change. Might they lose some Q4 to ECNL Boys? Maybe. But as long as MLSN is the top boys league, players will be reluctant to leave just to be a top dog in a 2d tier ECNL.

As many of you have indicated in your wonderfully colorful posts here, our next U.S. Soccer Board of Directors meeting is Nov. 22, 2024. We expect this topic to be on the agenda for that meeting and, consequently, a formal and public decision by the end of the calendar year. As always, thank you for your passion for the sport and commitment to our athletes.

I prefer 7/1. My friend prefers 6/1. Somebody probably wants 5/1 though. Or even 4/1. Guess 3/1 maybe for a few kids too. Not sure I've ever heard 2/1, but heck, might as well just keep it 1/1.

I heard ECNL will do BY from 2010 and above, then SY on 2011 and younger. This will create a crazy mess.
