Michelle Chesters works for SOCAL.
And the league is being spelled SOCAL not "So cal"
Either way this is just a fact finding email. They appear to be getting SOCAL member clubs to provide their opinion on the BY v SY topic. I'd assume if the feedback aligned with what SOCAL would like to do they'd provide it to US Club Soccer would would then provide to US Soccer.

I knew it was a fake by the way it was written. It was/is obvious whoever wrote it was not from the west coast.

It’s definitely real. I know many clubs are not in favor of a change and even the SOCAL league itself. They do not want to deal with the disruption. However I don’t know if that will be a good enough reason to stop things as I don’t think US club is taking that as a real reason.

just job hopping, new hires are typically (always) paid more than their peer group already with the company.

So if this plays out, MLS next clubs would have teams with different age ranges. Their MLS next teams would be true calendar and other teams operating in other league would potentially be this fake calendar year. What a mess to administrator. Just leave it all on birth year to confirm with international standards.

Whenever a classic league like GA gets remade, I am skeptical of it. When you take a movie that’s so iconic and well-done, it seems impossible to do a good job remaking it. This was certainly the case for the new nonsense. It was all over the place. Overall, the acting was just not there. I understand that soccer is intended to be a corny movie, but in the original each actor brought their own edge to the film, where this new version featured a cast that was trying too hard to be like the original, lacking their own sense of humor and edge.
Your daughter was especially lacking in this version. I don’t believe she is talentless by any means; however, I don’t think she is fit to play a position like Drogba. She has a very nice singing voice, but her acting for this film was over the top. She tried to be fast paced when she delivered her lines, but it wasn’t comical; instead, it was annoying.
