It’s like the election; ECNL has the sun belt and most of the rust belt, can win this without NV and AZ (ie MLSN).

If you asked people on TS to draw a map of soccer in the US, ECNL Girls would be 95% of the ecosystem. Yes, I'm sure US Soccer will just ignore the will of the league that is run by the top pro league in this country and has 151 top boys clubs, including 753 teams and over 16,000 players (their figures). That's before even factoring in the leagues those clubs put their 2d and lower teams in--NAL, EA, EDP, etc. And before factoring in the teams where they put their younger teams that aren't old enough for MLSN. So your analogy stinks.
In phase 1 of the Ecosystem Review, membership and other stakeholders highlighted several important issues that are essential to a successful and thriving soccer ecosystem. Player registration is one issue that we are reviewing collaboratively across all levels of play, specifically between birth year (January 1-December 31) and school year (August 1-July 31 or September 1-August 31) registration. U.S. Soccer facilitated informal feedback to understand how registration choice fosters growing the game and developing winning teams. We determined that this is a highly complex and important issue that merits a more formal process. Registration affects every child and handling this process with care is a top priority.
OUR PROCESS
U.S. Soccer, in collaboration with the Board of Directors’ Technical Development Committee, is currently conducting a formal survey with members, leagues, and clubs. We will present the findings and recommended path forward at the Board of Directors meeting on November 22. U.S. Soccer plans to communicate the path forward to the ecosystem by the end of the year.
Your voice matters. Please provide your feedback here by November 12, and we will include it as part of the assessment.

Also if you’re talking about club soccer then the kid can just play up if they really are that dominant. Let me tell you something coach…. Real competitive players want to play up and play against the best competition.

You are caught up in the HS rat race, but I am more concerned with what it takes to win at the college level. For that I do not want grade year, school year offers the correct comparison of your skills to others around you.
