how can ECNL2 NOT be lower than ECRL New England and North Atlantic when it has lower teams from the same clubs? Most people feel that the name ECRL2 is appropriate, not to put down the ECRL2 teams, but bring up the other 2 divisions. The only people offended by the ECRL2 teams are club directors trying to sell spots to parents who might be scared away when they figure out what it truly is

Exactly. Using ECRL2 for "ECNL Girls Regional Northeast" is the best way to help parents navigate the structure. The only people upset about it are the clubs trying to confuse parents into thinking they are offering their daughter a spot on a higher team than they are or parents who already fell for it.

and, as a newer family in this world of club soccer, I appreciate the clear distinction as it’s not always readily apparent from the club.

The people saying ECRL 2, are too lazy to learn the names. Or just trying to put down the league.

ECNL Girls Regional New England - original (Stars 3rd and 4th teams, Scorpions 2nd team)

ECNL Girls Regional Northeast- newer (Stars 5th team, Scorpions 3rd team, Bayside 1st team)

It still blows my mind that Bayside which is competing poorly in Northeast is now going to put that same team to compete against NEFC top GA team.

I’m not typing out ECRL northeast every time. My convenience weighs into it more than a desire to put anyone down. Stop being so easily offended, life will be easier.
