The 2011s for Bayside took a big hit from RG who brought the talent to Scorpions. This was also done to Juventus and NEFC. All 3 clubs lost good players to Scorpions due to the ECNL patch. Some of the good players stayed but not enough of them. From talking to parents 2010s seem to have recovered from the loss of players due to chasing ECNL with an influx of players coming in last spring at tryouts. Maybe the 2011s will recover. The club was bleeding players due to no national pathway. What usually happens is good local players get to high school and no longer want to do long commutes to far away clubs because they have a social life and homework. They start looking for local clubs with national pathways. I see RI Surf and Bayside gaining stronger teams as players go back home and they have a national path now at both clubs. The 2011s though are a tricky bunch as they have been switching up clubs in groups “cartels” and following coaches. They haven’t learned coaches aren’t loyal to players or clubs. Stop following them.
You seem to like the ‘national pathway’ term. Define it for us. Where does this national pathway lead you in today’s GA? And where does it lead a kid from a third tier club whose team can’t sniff a winning season let alone a national playoff.

Another great win by Surf! Getting stronger everyday and dominating GA teams.
NEFC watch out Surf is here to stay and we will beat you next match up. BF knows how to put a team together.

They will also continue the winning at national events.

Most of the talent, not all have returned to Bayside from the Scorpions. They have a strong base to build upon, perhaps more talent will come in this winter or next year
