I can't tell if you're fake, stupid or just clueless. There absolutely is more than enough demand for a league that offers better competition than NECSL with less travel than ECRL. That would be the right balance for many players, who are looking to develop further.

They just have to put together one league that makes sense. Club and league owners would have to stop being complete *#*$! selfish idiots so it hasn't happened.

DPL is ready and willing to let bygones be bygones, ask your NAL directors why they won't do that. The respon is the NAL helps to line their pockets in the short term.

It's probably decided way above club director level. 3Step higher ups calling the shots with 0 concern / interaction with any kid, only the $$

So the latest teaser says they are merging two leagues. What two leagues could that be?

GA and DPL I would assume. DPL becomes "GA Rise" and the B league in an organized structure. With both boards having similar people, it makes sense and gives them a chance to compete with ECNL/ECRL. It was always implied with DPL this makes it more official.

Which club with ambition wants to be in this league if they are within 1 hr of a big GA club? There is no way to move up , you just play inferior B/C teams of the big clubs.

the clubs created a new pyramid based on clubs instead of league:
                  this is the order now…

                  Stars Blue
                  Select ECNL
                  Stars White
                  Scorpions Ecnl
                  NEFC Red GA
                  NEFC White GA
                  Stars Blue Regional
                  NE Surf navy
                  Stars White regional
                  Select regional
                  Stars skyblue regional
                  Bayside/RI Surf (same)
                  Scorpions Regional 1 and 2

it’s no longer the league in NE it’s the right club. Stars and Select on top.

You realize they could all just add more tiers to NECSL right …and play in one league? “My child needs to travel to play”- same child’s team who can’t even beat the top teams locally. Out of state play should be saved for tournaments only. Plenty of local competition.

You realise that the NECSL is the worst of the lot right? Greed piled upon greed, everything is about taking the most amount of money and providing the least amount of product. Its got a 12 month shelf life then the whole thing blows up.

The logo in the latest post looks like the ECNL logo.
GA and DPL cannot merge as they are run by the same entity

                        makes you wonder

Similar shape, but not quite the same. The bottom part of the ECNL shield is slightly curved. The logo shown on DPL has straight lines.
More importantly, it's similar to the ECNL logo, not the ECRL logo. No way DPL is going to merge with ECNL. Even if you say its just the ECNL bringing DPL into the ECNL universe not to be part of the ECNL itself, that still makes no sense. What they're going to create ECRL3? Madness.
My guess is that GA and DPL are moving beyond just a "strategic relationship" and formally merging. IIRC they are NOT run by the same entity, but do have a fair amount of board crossover or something along those lines. They could formally merge creating a first and second tier of the GAL universe. Maybe they are hinting at a new logo or rebrand to announce the merger.
My other guess would be a formal merger of DPL and NAL Girls under a new logo and rebrand. I think that would also solve the mystery of what's happening in the Mid Atlantic regions for both DPL and NAL Girls.

You are correct. I think merger with NAL is most likely to happen.
Though I will say, merging with ECNL RL would make most sense.

ECNL is not pumping enough money into RL and DPL is financially stable and could use a hand for scouting/recruitment…

The only thing I know for certain is that NAL is not involved. NAL girls is NE only and this is promised to be a national announcement. SC has also been desperate to recruit DPL clubs to keep his league viable, wouldn't make sense for him to do that if they were merging.

My bet is just GA and DPL. Even if they add a "pathway" from DPL to GA, that doesn't fix the fundamental, serious problems with GA and DPL in New England (mostly, uneven competition and pointless matches). So nothing really changes, pretty much a nothingburger for this part of the country.

If I had the energy, I'd spend some time thinking about how they can screw things up even more. Because these leagues never seem to miss a chance to do that.

Also, on the logo - most leagues use a shield type logo, not something to read a whole lot into.
