Ironically ECNL parents from top teams are pretty normal. They just want to play against teams that are competitive. The ECNL parents that are simply awful are the bottom feeder team parents who lose every week and have nothing to brag about other than being in ECNL.
That is definitely a characteristic in years past before ECNL went off the rails and has started to decline with expansion. Anyone who has been around ECNL long enough knows what I am mean. I agree that playing ECNL is sometimes more important to the parent especially from clubs that were recently promoted. It’s when they get to a showcase tournament and see that there team is playing in the third tier vs. another comparable third tier club that reality sets in. ECNL has become a league for every level. The top teams play each other, the middle tier play each other and the lower tier play each other. I have heard complaints from lower tier ECNL parents complaining that some of the competition is no better than there GA games.

Are you conflating ECNL and ECNL-R?

No, that they're saying is true other than the shot at GA.

Lower level ECNL clubs will never play clubs like SD Surf, or MLVA, or Solar. If a ECNL club happens to dominate their conference and make it to finals they might get seeded against a top club in finals. But this is only occurring so the top club has a cake walk in the initial games.

In ECNL showcases bottom feeders are matched with bottom feeders.

This is why people say that ECNL parents brag about the league not the club their kid plays on. They've obviously figured out that they'll never become a top club and are pissed at the world because of it so they go after other leagues to try and make themselves feel better about the situation. Ironically top GA clubs would smash them just like the top ECNL clubs do.

No, definitely not combining, strictly ECNL. RL is a completely separate entity which was originally formed to compete against NPL/EDP. This was the start of ECNL changing their business model of inclusion of having a platform that expands the original plan that was strictly the top ranked/rated clubs in all four regions. The concept of less is more competition in a competitive league of equal clubs.

Looks like IFA can be added to the DPL list

Does this mean that NAL girls is pretty much done?

They added 2 teams last month, so losing one is not a big deal. DPL really dropped the ball in Mid Atlantic with not forming a division like the were hyping and then having a "big announcement" that was an embarrassment. There is a 3rd NAL division starting in 2024 for the girls (it is actually called Mid Atlantic, is all GS B teams and probably was what DPL was hoping was going to be their Mid Atlantic divistion). NAL Northeast lost a team to GA, so maybe a hit this year, but I am sure other teams are dying to join now since it is a "proven pathway" to GA (and it is a good bet that NJ Premier will get GA from NAL next year since they are in GA Events as we type)

Ignore the last guy he either doesn't know what he's talking about or works for the NAL. 2 more Massachusetts NAL clubs to be announced into the DPL over the next few days... 3step tearing themselves apart from within.

                    Who did NAL add?

And what about Select? At best those teams get weaker, if they are in NAL at all.

New England Surf and Bolts. Ignore the last guy, he is probably the guy at DPL that dropped the boy and thought DPL merging with a boys league was something people thought was a good idea

NE Surf B and a boys club. It was this that pushed the 3 clubs in question out. Remember that NAL already lost SSS and SDA
I have no doubt SC will continue to collect checks from whichever clubs are left behind, but it will be nothing more than NECSL.

I can't see how the New England conference survives at all. The next anouncement will be the killer blow.

Is the NAL affiliated with a league/body. Who runs it? Was it created from a bunch of regional leagues joining forces.

Why have DPL announced IFA when they know they have not agreed? Are they trying to mislead people? Can’t say I am surprised as they have a record of lying.
