- The big GA teams win.
- Most of the big GA teams with 2 teams already have MLS Next
- It gives ECNL clubs a reason to jump over
- GA could just merge in DPL and all of sudden all games are local.
any thoughts on who????
see their instagram posts. Announcement coming 4.2

ecnl added a team from a rival league. Stars already had 2 top teams and just moved one to another league. As it turns out the DA wasn’t as strong as they thought because white has struggled since the move.
what NEFC and GA did was add a team from their feeder league. In process weakening both leagues. Anyone trying to tell you this is a good this is selling you something. I have no dog in the fight. My kid is in college now.
Looking at it objectively, if my kid was a top 5 NEFC player I would be moving her to one of the ECNL teams. If she’s mid pack I would have no move and be stuck (I feel for those parents). But if she was bench player with chance to start now or B team player that now gets a chance to be on a GA team I’d be psyched.

agree with last part. Blue should field the top 8-10 players in the state if they want to drive to Lancaster. Everyone else is fighting for the next level player, of which there are more so maybe that is NEFC strategy. Unintended for sure, but 2024 reality.

No, No, No…let’s be honest, white exists to pay for blue, give JD league clout and block NEFC. Good business move, not great for parents, players and competition but its on open market so have at it!

And white doesn’t exist to pay for blue. It’s the 100 teams of “acton elite” , “lancaster United” ect.. that pay the bills. They get part time coaches that JD pays peanut’s and they don’t have to pay for big travel. Those teams are pure profit. The ECNL teams are expensive (whether they win or lose) but they attract players to the club. You can’t run a club with only ECNL teams or you would lose money.
