Now that the NWSL is starting up with US Soccer support these leagues might actually mean something beyond staying in soccer shape over the summer.

Those $75 game checks represent a pretty good return on an investment of $100k or more for all those years of youth soccer. Break even is at about the 30th minute of game # 1,333.

Ummm....I think she pretty much played for free, but just kicks let's say they did spend 100K. Better outcome than YOUR 100K, no? Don't forget the full ride to one of the top 4 public universities in the USA.

Why the bitterness? Nobody even mentioned how much or how littel money she was going to make

You're just jealous because you are poor and can't afford youth soccer.

Even worse. You people are so stupid because you cannot see the folly of spending so much money on such a worthless endeavour.

Stop posting about what you obviously have no clue about. Playing for a semi pro team like Pali Blues costs nothing to the player, other than their time.

Lemme guess. You only spent a "few thou" and your kid also is a top 3 player for UCLA and a half-step away from the full WNT.
