Just in MA, spring season, you'd have to throw out Stars White to even be able to say the average ECNL team is as good as the average GA team in MA.

And ECRL is clearly lower tier.

Maybe you really believe that that the deciding factor for a MA player is that there are good ECNL teams in TX and CA. By the way, how is you girlfriend in Montreal?

If the player’s goal is to play at a high level, even if just in HS, it also requires a complete team of strong players who play the game at a high level.

If your goal is college then the exposure ECNL and GA offer can't be matched by any other league. And you'll be playing other good teams within the region. Yes your local coaching matters but so does your regional competition. Beating up on lesser teams won't improve your game the way playing against good teams does.
