I'm assuming parents of kids in XC simply drop off and do errands until their kids expected finish time. Your kid runs the distance normally in 45 minutes, ok I got time to go get gas and a coffee etc..

One of my kids is in XC . I went to one race in two years. And they charged me $10for parking. I haven’t gone this year at all.

There are more good DPL and NAL teams than ECRL teams, but ECRL has much more travel.
And except for Scorpions, ECRL2 is the same level of play as RAL and NECSL, but with much worse travel.
