Not all but most ECNL parents can afford all the travel that comes with playing in a national league. With that said not all can afford it so not having 12 year olds travel to Long Island and paying for hotels on back to back weekends is probably appreciated by some of the parents. You are treating this Columbus Day tournament like it’s the national championship. It’s just a non league tournament and whether you believe this or not it will be unimportant and forgotten by next month. Stars blue is making the correct decision for their kids and parents.

I assume this is an "11 White parent. I dind it insane to rank teams but because this parent wanted to attack little kids here is where you're daughters team ranks:

1. SSS
2. NEFC
3. Blue
4. Surf

Surf, lol. Lost all their top players, 7 of them to be exact. SSS, yes of course #1. NEFC dodged Blue at Stars Cup, so let's put Blue ahead of them for now as NEFC has played no real competition with their new team with the exception of SSS, and NEFC lost. Surf and Juve had great games last season, so now with Surf losing all these players, the Juve (Scorpions) team would slot ahead of the current Surf team easily. When Scorpions puts all their top players on one team, they should be in this conversation at that point as well.

Even if you can afford it, most families have more than one kid. Those non-ECNL siblings deserve some time and attention too.

So, the Stars White are rich kids and the Blue are poor? Are the accommodation, travel and tournaments free of charges at Cape Cod?

1- many families (or friends) have cape houses.
2- many non-ECNL kids are playing at the cape already. Whole family in one place as opposed to one kid at the cape and one kid in LI.

Sorry I know this pertains to a different tournament but the bolts cup is next weekend and the teams entered are not all that great even in the top brackets. With that said why is the 2011 Bayside ECNL regional team playing in the second bracket against town travel teams? I read all the negativity on this site about the regional teams and I thought it was exaggerated but this is a really bad look. Honestly it’s so bad that it hurts the ECNL regional brand.

The drama over 12 year olds driving to the Cape vs LI is hilarious. This has to be satire. No one thinks a Columbus Day tournament for 12 year olds matters.
