GA2 vs ECRL

There is no such thing as GA2, it turned into NAL. The new ECRL Northeast league is a similar level of competition to NAL, but with a lot more travel. So factor that in.

Coaching and teammates are important, hard to get a feel for. Though if it’s an existing team, you might be able to go to a practice or two.

if seacoast is a reasonable commute to training, do that for a year and evaluate your options when your kid is able to try out and when you see how the other alternatives have developed.

I have a daughter who's accepted into a new FC Stars ECRL team (did not try out for ECNL as could not make the date). She also made Seacoast GA2... Any preference of FC Stars vs. Seacoast U and why?.. Nervous about going to a newly created team and nervous about a club that only has one GA/GA2 team. Advancement seems minimal.

You post two nearly identical posts but with small but important changes and I’m the idiot? One post pits Stars ECNL v Seacoast GA, the second post pits both clubs 2nd teams vs each other. Most trolls on this site do exactly what you did. Ask a seemingly innocuous question which puts both sides v each other. In this case ECNL and GA fanboys.

Assume I know enough about club soccer to sound legit but stupid enough to incorrectly make statements that will lead people astray… I’m still learning what I don’t know or fixing what I know… Not a lot of websites talking about GA2 as it is still new vs GA… I’m just looking for people’s opinions on both clubs and both levels… GA2 vs ECRL for now and GA vs ECNL for if she moves up to that level afterwards…. It’s irrelevant if I made the other post as it remains a valid question… You seem to take this personal and act as the gatekeeper… Just sit back and read what the adults are saying. If you are comparing the nh stars ecrl2 team vs seacoast go seacoast too much movement and drama on that stars situation, kids from this years teams lost teams as they moved to NH. Or brought in new teams to take over from Aztec might need a year to settle you can always join next year vs join a team that already completely changed after year 1. If you want stars go to Lancaster better long term move.

Stars offers zero loyalty to current players. They are cut and discarded and often replaced with players that aren’t even better just to bring in more players. If you take a spot on an ECRL team at Stars don’t get comfortable they move players around like they are in a player pool to accommodate new players from other clubs.
