But people don’t really want their kids in DPL. I’m sorry. But it’s true that coaches aren’t interested in watching these mid level teams play.

ECRL although currently at the same level as some of these mid level teams depending on birth year and if it’s from Scorpions or Stars…is more interesting to parents. The reasoning is because they are part of the ECNL brand. Travel for regional is organized. The feedback from friends on ECRL teams is that they like it. The rumor that players from regional don’t move up to national is no longer true. We are seeing more players from regional stars teams have been trying out and yes have moved up at Stars. Can’t speak for Scorpions.
Blah blah blah. There is a large market segment that does not want to travel out of state for games. They may be mid level but why does that bother you. A limited travel mid-tier option will always exist. Who controls it and what it is named is the only thing to be determined, DPL, impact or something new.

CT poster here and the 2 local additions are merely ok, one being a CFC branch team of players that either didn't make or want CFC United's ECNL or ECLR teams (which take from all CFC branches and other clubs at U14). Sure it's CFCs better branch for U14+ but it's an EDP club. Few in those teams are good enough for anything but the lowest college programs - which they can get recruited to playing in EDP with less cost and travel. ECLR2 or whatever it's called is not as appealing as you keep claiming it is.

ECRL is better than the rest of the mid level options due to the brand, opportunities and the travel is great, not too much. If you don’t want to travel then sure be part of the DPL, impact, abcdefg local mid level clubs playing one an other over and over in MA. But don’t think you will get any real college exposure hanging out in MA or playing low brackets of random tournaments.

Playing on the mid to lower level teams that are in ECRL2 isn't going to help anyone learn to play well. So they will be of no interest to college coaches. Lots of unnecessary travel for mediocre competition.

Hey CT poster. Go back to CT. One thing we were able to resolve among the clueless last week is that there is no ECRL2. The more you say that the more you show ignorance or insecurity.
To clarify the expansion is called ECRL Northeast Region and the current is ECRL New England. Let’s not go backward and start saying ECRL2. You lose credibility.
            • ECNL stands for Elite Club National League. It’s a national youth soccer league for both boys and girls sanctioned by the US Club Soccer and is sponsored by Nike Soccer.
            • ECRL stands for Elite Club Regional League. It’s a regional youth soccer league for boys and girls, first piloted in 2018 and then expanded, which is managed and operated by the ECNL.

LL and team are just doing damage control.
Aztec impact parent her did the director say what league they are going to? Would love to know.

There certainly is a ECRL2 despite what some coaches/owners want to sell. I understand you need to get the guillable to sign on, we get that. It is the C team and league within ECNL. In reality it's a D or E league within youth soccer

The only people who call ECRL Northeast, ECRL2, are uneducated.
(they are also likely from impact or DPL)

Must defend ECRL2 at all cost, must type my defense. Only way to trick folks into travelling for this craziness.

You've lost the poster's forest through the trees. This is is simply shifting around existing teams from one bucket to another. Some players won't want the new bucket. For sure the new bucket won't be better than the old bucket. But it will cost ya' more.

Right? Multiple posts about the name instead of acknowledging this is just a market share grab. Combining a group of mediocre teams into a new league doesn't erase the mediocrity.

I definitely think those who love impact and DPL should stay out. No need to add your players to the ECRL rosters. These DPL cheerleaders a special kind of people. Please stay right where you are.
