DR
Don't knock DR; he brought a club from one or two teams to what they are now. They have some quality teams for a relatively young club.

What quality teams? The U12 boys in MAPLE blue who have won 3 and lost 3 games and are in the middle of the pack? That is quality?
If DR wants to run with the big dogs, he needs to have results to prove it. One hit wonder does not cut it.........

BU13 are in final 8 of state cup and are close in every game in maple blue; u11s and u10s are solid. I am not saying they are a top club; but they do have some quality. There is a gap in u13-u16 yes totally agree.

For the number of teams DR has, only one is in the RR, the BU13 team. They are second to last in MAPLE Blue and have yet to win a game. Time will tell how they fare this weekend against much better teams.
With all the players he poached from everywhere else for his U17 team, how could he possibly not even make it to the RR this year? The statement that the U17 boys are still #1 in Massachusetts is still on their site. That is funny. He has a roster of 22 and he cannot find it in him to coach a game to get his team to the RR?

Gotsoccer tells you something about some teams, but plenty of very good teams don't play the tournaments that give you points, don't win the ones they could-should have, or do win one that maybe they shouldn't have.
What you can see is that WUP played a lot more games against ranked teams, and WUP tied a game and won a game against two teams C lost to. Which still just leads to the conclusion that the two teams will need to play each other to see who wins.
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostIt could be worth looking at 2013 schedules for some of these teams.
WUP Red (accepting the issues with gotsoccer, ranked 25 in region I):
Losses to #19, 40 and 51
Draws with #7, 51, 91 and 233
Wins over #23, 33, 35, 36, 37, 49, 53, 74, 78, 80, and 162
In 18 matches, there seem to be 3 "bad" results: loss to 51 and ties with #91 and especially 233. Some might say only the tie with 233 looks bad.
Crusaders United (#14 in region I):
Loss to #7 and 23
Draw with #48
Wins over #24, 29, 74 equivalent from r2, 81, 92 equivalent from r3, 103, 252 and 326
In 11 matches and an overall less-demanding schedule then wup red, there's maybe 1 bad result, the draw with 48.
Depends on your view, but the number of "bad" results in these 2 examples is consistent with occasionally missing scoring chances, a key call going against you, an atypical mistake costing a goal, that sort of thing. It doesn't feel like inconsistency.

What happened to Benfica? How did they fair remainder of the RR. Knights appeared to have kicked butt, amazingly a mediocre team that knows how to come together when they need to. Obviously, good coaching developing players throughout league play with the end result in good tournament play. I predict at Knights / Blazers final
