Because you don’t play any decent teams. Have you played Select? That’s right you lost before the finals of Stars Cup 9-0 so didn’t make it to play Select. How about NEFC or Stars Blue, have you played them?

Although ranking don’t mean much. SSS is filled with tons of talent 2009-2012. Gotta give it to them. They have some good players, and many of those players aren’t planning to leave to drive to Lancaster anymore. Select is the club to watch in the next few years.

Select only avoids games with teams that are out to injure players or are weak competition.

and select players aren’t recruited they are developed. They develop players and when they become top players on GA they used to leave for ECNL but I’m guessing with all the ECNL coaching issues on white the select players will only jump if they are in the starting national blue.

Maybe cause you're in a grbage league? Most of the top teams don't play in the lower levels like Surf.

True but over stated. If a top player leaves around U11-12 they will be just fine. Every year afterwards will be tougher and tougher.

So what do parents do when "Top" teams are not located close too them? Lancaster, Northborough/Mendon, Hingham are not super close to these areas and work full-time. How do parents juggle the commute, practice commute and school at the U12 age. For now Scorpions is a NO GO, absolutely no development and coaching is horrible.

Hmmm I know of talented players 2009-11 that came over to Select from big clubs like Stars and NEFC as well as players from smaller clubs. All of these players came over on their own and were not recruited. They called the club, went to a few practices and were put on GA or Impact team based on ability and in two cases what the family found affordable. Some came because they wanted a national pathway and their small club had nothing more to offer, one came because of her drive, one came because she needed different coaching and opportunities. Whatever the reason, they came on their own. No recruiting.

Surf's had a strong showing against ECNL and GA teams in tournaments. Yes, they got trounced by SUSA (like most), but they've beaten Scorpions, Stars White, and both Seacoast GA teams.

Doubt they'd be able to stay with SSS or Stars Blue, but don't sleep on them just because they're playing DPL this year.
