But that team is MLSN. So, it’s unclear what point you are making.

You don’t need to play MLSN to make an academy team but it sure helps your chances of being seen. Revs did pick up some talented non-MLSN players this year.

Not a necessity to be in a B team but it absolutely helps. It makes for easy shopping for the Revs.

What's the deal with MLS pulling down the MLS Next Schedules and Standings this week? Revs have games this weekend! When I saw they were down earlier this week I figured it was just for some web maintenance or scheduling updates, but it's still not back up.

On a different but maybe related note, Gotsoccer gets beat up pretty good for it's ridiculous rankings algo (rightfully so IMO), but in terms of their scheduling software it's a hell of a lot better than this Modular 11 software that MLS got in bed with.

I think they didn’t mean to publish the original schedule as it’s changed substantially since it went live. So I imagine it’s still under major revision and they pulled it to reduce confusion. But yea, kind of odd since games start this weekend.

Makes sense (the reasoning, not the timing). Thanks for the insight. Hopefully they get it back up today or tomorrow.

1 major difference MLSN provides, the tournaments and playoffs

You get to play Pro academy teams and top talent and scouting

Is this still the case after NEFC, IFA, Bayside expanded to the full pathway along with Bolts and Seacoast? I was under the impression that NEFC had that arrangement so they could send their best MLSN kids their after MLSN ended for them at U14 (or U15, can't remember). Now they have their own MLSN pathway for the older kids.

All other MLS Next teams have grown to hate the Revs.

So true. They still continue to struggle with developing younger teams- u16 and younger. These teams consistently loose to regional NLSNext teams and do not have the top talent in the area.
Maybe a few really good player s but for the most part not the top!

Their u17 and u19 teams are solid

With that reasoning, you must think boysecnl is absolutely useless, right?
