Latest news in the pre-pre-pre-K groups as the leaves start to turn
1) Stars Blue has dominated their morning session leagues. Noticeable drop off in the afternoons, likely due to the split class structure. Also, some take extended naps
2) TigerMom DayCare continues their meteoric climb. Club is small, quick, great technical ability and very organized.
3) Gymboree Saugus had a couple of tough losses. Need to keep their diapers clean, kids. That extra weight will affect your fitness.
4) Rodriguez DayCare, LLC. (New Entry) This is a home-schooled entity, and it appears all are from the same family. Tremendous technique, but can be volatile in trying circumstances
5) Lil Kickers After School Club. Most of these kids are just home with their parents and not into a setting yet, so they meet at the local church basement in the afternoons and show some great promise
Both Miles of Smiles and Happy Smiles dropped out. MoS because they haven't recovered since Dmitri was banned for a high level of Vitamin B. HS because that big kid who looked like he was in 2nd grade, really was.

Updates from the pre-pre-pre-K groups after a wild stretch of recess play
1) Stars Blue. This travelling band of toddlers can flat out play. They have started to dominate both the morning and afternoon session after bringing in some newbies. If they can keep their striker's diaper empty, watch out.
2) Gymboree Saugus. Back on track after experiencing some new school jitters last month, they are starting to dominate the north shore
3) Rodriguez Day Care LLC. Shocking to see one of their players sent off recently for pulling a Luiz Suarez, but otherwise this very technical squad can score in bunches.
4) Rainbowland Day Care. They needed a mention after that stunning victory over the TigerMoms. They were relentless and just wore down the smaller kids with pure physically. Who knew you could slide tackle at such a young age?
5) Lil Kickers After School Club. The little club that could, carries a Bad News Bears vibe and straddle the line between controlled and uncontrolled mayhem. But in a small church basement setting they are really difficult to play against, using the walls as well as the support poles well.
TigerMoms dropped off, for now. Their winning streak snapped, they proceeded to go into full meltdown mode. Normally a very disciplined side, once they started losing all heck broke loose.

As the air chills, play has been moved indoor. The tight spaces has given some teams fits as they can't rely on pure athleticism. Those with a futsal background have looked better over the last few weeks.
1) Rodriguez Day Care LLC. Ran Stars Blue ragged and they know how to play around that support pole in the middle of their classroom.
2) Stars Blue. Showed a lack of ball control once they moved inside. Will hope to see them right the ship after that shocking loss to Rodriguez.
3) Lil Kickers After School Club. They just play. Not a lot of pure skill. Not a ton of athleticism. But, nobody has more fun out there and they play with the reigns off all the time.
4) Gymboree Saugus. Still own the North Shore, but competition is lacking.
5) TigerMoms. Back on the list, their indoor facility is a beauty and when you add in the matching kits and hairstyles, they can intimidate even before first touch
Dropped off: Rainbowland Day Care. With their floors being refinished, they had to cancel a few games and training sessions.

After a long break, kids are back and play has resumed. It's important for kids at this age to get away and let their bodies rest. Training 4 days a week with two, sometimes up to four games on a weekend, is a lot for some kids to handle. With that said, some appear to have taken an extended leave as the play was a bit atrocious at times, and with some rosters still impacted it's hard to put too much stock in the results. But, the as long as we are keeping score the results matter, and the List Knows All. Sooo.....here we go....
1) Stars Blue - They return to their rightful place at the top of the heap. They were likely the only club that played all through the holidays and it showed as they romped through their return matches with nary a scratch.
2) TigerMoms - Seems Christmas was kind to the Fightin' Samurai, with their shiny new white kits with the red circle on the front. Their play impressed almost as much as their kits. A team for the future, to be sure.
3) Lil Kickers - Still just an effective club that grind out results. The press in bunches all over the gym floor and when they win the ball, the entire team attacks. Reminds me of the Dutch from the early 70's. Not sure how will it will play once they get onto the bigger 7v7 field, but for now they are a threat.
4) Gymboree Saugus - OK, let's face it, I can't believe that kid with the beard is really a U-4. I swear I saw him smoking a cigarette in the bathroom during nap time. But, the club has paperwork (questionable as it may be) that proves his age. Scoring 82 goals in a weekend is a feat, no matter the circumstances.
5) Rainbowland Day Care - With the new floors buffed and waxed, and sporting new paint on the walls, their facility matched their play and good to see them return to the List
Dropped off:
Rodriguez Day Care, LLC. The ICE raid has left the club in shambles and their return to play is now up in the air.
With the recent weather, some teams have had to revert back to indoor/basement facilities for their training. Big props to the clubs still fighting through using their outdoor facilities, even with snowpants & boots. Actual training time is shortened, however, as the time it takes to get the kids suited up, and then back to their inside clothes, is a bit of work for any experienced trainer, no matter the coaching license they own.

This is obviously a rival coach trying to stir up crap. We know who you are!
If you care to know Rodriguez Day Care was raided by Stars Blue (a step down from ICE admittedly). The promise of toilets that don’t leak and club ownership of their facilities was too enticing.
We also have an agreement that we’ll be first team starters. (As long as we shovel the coaches driveway and offer free babysitting at the Day Care.)

Christ what a comment. Thanks for the laugh on this otherwise sickening forum.

Kids are back from the school vacation, and you can tell which kids got the trips to Disney and which had to stay back and played. The rust on some showed.
1) Lil Kickers - The little engine that could takes over the top spot with their impressive, aggressive play. Most of the kids come from working class, and they stayed and played through vacation and it showed.
2) Tiger Moms - Still the most disciplined side on the group. You can see them working the angles and play every ball with a purpose
3) Stars Blue - Having three kids out with sunburns meant a small roster and they began to tire late in games
4) Gymboree Saugus - Even when they got busted with the kid who was clearly overage, the rest are capable to pick up the slack. He will be missed, however. Maybe they get him back after his trip to Juvie runs out?
5) Little Lambs and Country Jams - New to the list, they live mostly in the rural area. Rough and tumble, reminds me of Stoke FC on their best days. They play direct, long balls off the ceiling and crash the net. Some call it dirty, others call it effective. Hey, when you have a roster filled with kids all over 5'0" you play to your strengths.
Dropping off: Rainbowland Day Care. Looked like they were still on Island Time and slept their way through their matches upon return

Latest updates for the ultra-competitive U-4's after the latest showcase held at Chuck E Cheese's, which drew dozens of local private grade school scouts looking for the next wave of talent.
1) Stars Blue - Retakes the top slot after a good run of league games and an going 3-0 at the Showcase. Anticipate most of the team to be pulled into private schools to help prepare them for making a college team in a few years.
2) Gymboree Saugus - Huge upset win over Tiger Moms at the weekend. Rumors persist their star CM will be getting out of Juvie within the month so look out.
3) Little Lambs and Country Jams - Really doing nothing wrong, the club molded in the Stoke style plays rock 'em sock 'em soccer. A simple brand of play, get it forward to the big kid who marauds his way through defenders like an angry little Gronk
4) Tiger Moms - The pressure seems to get these kids in tight games. When they are playing well, the play is free and flowing. But, if you can get stuck in on them they aren't handling the pressure well.
5) Rainbowland Day Care - Not sure how, but they went undefeated over the last month playing no discernable style whatsoever. Just appeared to be like ants on a dropped popsicle if you are pessimist. The optimist will say that's a Dutch-like press. We'll see if they can sustain it long term
Dropping off: Lil Kickers. Seems the new coach, MS, is starting to wear some kids down. Those playing really like playing for him, but those sitting leave almost every game in tears after the verbal beat down they receive.
Side note, a new club looked like they were going to make the list, Mini-Aztecs. They were getting results, but after a few losses I asked one of the moms decked out in full Aztecs gear and she was complaining that another club was poaching their players instead of developing their own. Not sure of any truth to the rumor, but that's what they were saying.

Springtime means outdoor playtime! Yay! Kids were getting claustrophobic all cooped up in those basements so nice to get them outside on the bigger pitch where the real talent comes through. With the first burst of colors peeking through and buds on many trees, it's the first signs of controversy that overtakes the youth soccer world every year; and, these 3-4 year olds are no different.
1) Stars Blue - Their practice sessions have swelled of late as "guest" players have begun to show for trainings. While this could turn to be a negative on some teams, not Blue. They stepped up their games and turned it up a notch. Time will tell if the invitees can break into the field over the coming months. Good thing there is no school attendance required yet as they are hitting the road early this weekend for a couple of games in New Jersey.
2) Tiger Moms - The finally had a quality win finally when they took on Mini-Aztecs from the local Pre-Impact league in a friendly. The guests came in with a chip on their shoulder, having not been considered for a top spot yet but the Tiger Moms had their way with them. Still haven't been able to get confirmation the Minis have been decimated by poaching clubs. Either way, Tiger Moms weren't tested. I do question if it's the right move to have that one kid playing up with 5-year olds. If he stayed with his right age group, this team could be competing for a National Title.
3) Rainbowland Day Care - Still play an unattractive, but frenzied style of soccer that creates havoc across basements throughout the area.
4) Gymboree Saugus - Decent recent showings on the pitch, a little controversy off it. Seems one of their players was seen at a recent Blue training session and word got back to the other parents. Now, they are upset that the family is looking to leave and have started bad-mouthing them because they didn't know ahead of time. That's going to make the next play date awfully awkward.
5) Lil Kickers - Back on the list. MS's berating has seemed to actually improve moral. What a tricky game this can be to understand at times. Only loss was in a rainy, windy day so the floor got wet when they showed up in their galoshes
Dropping off: Little Lambs and Country Jams. Their kickball style of play didn't work with some low ceilings of late. Maybe getting outside will help them out?
In other news, the MA-Pre-K Regional 2 league will be starting over the summer. It will be interesting what affect this will have on some teams as movement could be high. Some parents are looking for ways to get their kids in front of the "right eyes" while others are adamant they are already in the bestest super-dooperest league this side of the Andromeda Galaxy so there is no reason to go to a poaching club. Will more teams look to compete in the Infant Academy League?

Attention parents: If you read this thread, you don't have to read any others. It's a Reader's Digest of all the other threads. Best thing on TS. And the Rainbowland Day Care kids can play for me any day.
