i dont feel vulnerable, but it was important to me to protect others
Whatever nonsense you want to spout is not considered by the airlines. There crews are not available for duty when infected and so many if them are out at this point that thousands of flights being cancelled everyday. That is the actual reality beyond whatever fantasy land you inhabit.

It is tough to watch you two argue. One of you is misinformed about what a vaccination can and can’t do, the other is scared of his shadow and wants to stay home for the next 6 weeks.

This vaccination minimizes the effects but still allows for a vaccinated person to contract and/or pass along the virus. However, if you and the next person are vaccinated, you are passing along mild symptoms at worst, most are asymptomatic. The statement about airlines is true, but so what. The crew is vaccinated, you are not harming them. They are out of work because of protocols not because of illness. You solution to them not working is to not give them business. That doesn’t help the now out of work crew. And also a big ‘so what’ to the someone who chooses to take the risk of not having a return flight. It’s their risk, their choice.

What else is a choice: being unvaccinated. It puts a person at risk of serious illness. So does smoking. So does sex with strangers. So does eating red meat.

that is nonsense. The crew is vaxxed..they don't have to be boosted and crews are infected and actually sick..not just home eating bon bons.

The showcase is on. IMO it should not be held now on these days at the peak of the wave. And as they are proceeding at least address the current situation with your so-called medical advisor.

But they will not. They just hawk their ugly $60 sweatshirts and pretend all is well.

Yeah, because the fact that vaccines help prevent serious illness, hospitalizations and deaths should be ignored.

If you mask up and everyone else is masked up the risk on airline spread is very small. You're just a whiny little beyatch looking for excuses. Do the team a favor and don't go. I bet your kid is a joy to be around also.

Cuss and carry on all you want but lots of airline crews are down for the count. Reality is reality. Sorry.

If they test positive they have to stay off planes. Many probably picked it up at unmasked holiday events like the rest of America. Staff interaction with any one (masked) passenger is pretty limited. More than once I saw staff chatting in the crew areas maskless, many are sloppy with their masks. That's their own stupidity

"Given the high quality of cabin air and the various safety measures in place, there is "very low" risk of contracting COVID-19 on board a plane, according to the International Air Transport Association, which represents airlines around the world."

United Airlines and the Department of Defense teamed up on a six-month study that found the risk of contracting COVID-19 on commercial flights was low when passengers wore masks for the entirety of the flight. The highest risk was associated with sitting in the same row, or a row in front of or behind, an infected person. T

Those six month tests were done pre-omicron. "Researchers compared the spread of omicron and of delta among members of the same household and concluded that omicron is about 2.7 to 3.7 times more infectious than the delta variant among vaccinated and boosted individuals." Your quote above also says "risk of contracting COVID-19 on commercial flights was low when passengers wore masks for the entirety of the flight." Not sure if you've been on a plane lately, but I flew over the holidays and many passengers had masks not covering noses, flight attendants were passing out drinks and snacks as frequently as pre-COVID days, and passengers were not quick to put masks back on after eating and drinking. If you fly, you are definitely taking a risk, but the question is whether a soccer tournament is worth taking the risk. If this is the only way your player could be recruited and is looking for exposure to colleges across the country, maybe it is. If your player has time, or can narrow recruiting down to ID clinics that are local, perhaps it's not worth the risk.

Wait… are you saying the vaccine doesn’t stop the spread?
i was told it wasn’t about just me. Get vaxed to protect others. Isn’t that the message?

I’m so confused. Could I be a super-spreader? Oh this is all so troubling. I’m scared. We should cancel, cancel everything, this is all so troubling. Thank You TS

It’s just as tough having you lump together unvaccinated people with all your other examples. It shows you have little regard for the ramifications of getting Covid if your unvaccinated and that is the bigger problem. People like you will go out of there way to avoid or even lie about being vaccinated instead of getting the vaccine. That makes you stupid, not smarter than everyone else.
