The ECNL Sales Pitch - Fact or Fiction

Operative word is most. What happens when the owner of a club is a convicted fellon and doesn't pull a CORI on themselves. Seen that one around here. We have also had coaches get themselves into trouble with all sorts of poor choices that don't show up on a CORI. Affairs with parents, drinking with parents. You name it, it has happened around here. All one has to do is google some names and you can find out all sorts of juicey information if so inclined. It is funny how some of these coaches really like to throw stones around at people but they actually should be worrying about their own glass houses.

This vague nonsense is a way to get around the T-S prohibition of defamation and frankly if Beachbum had the nerve he'd erase these CORI remarks just as he removed earlier defamatory remarks. This is likely the same person pushing it as far as possible. The value of this is exactly nothing.

By the way - you go to Mass Youth Soccer to be CORI'd for US Youth soccer leagues so if it isn't being done the finger pointing should go there. Don't let the truth get in the way of allegations.

Wrong. It's all about agenda and context. Might be a perfectly fine topic if it was coming up genuinely, on its own in another thread, and at least had a superficial appearance of being club-neutral. It is perfectly reasonable to question why this topic would appear now, at this stage of this thread's evolution.

OK, OK, we concede Harvard, Yale and UCLA are great, but did you know your coach is a criminal and your beloved D1 recruit is at risk of being harmed by her club coach.

Just an FYI - I have consistently logged in and reported posts where kids from any clubs were being mistreated and recently reported posts about adults which were also removed. The fact that your defense is an attack shows your true colors. I recently (like in the last couple of days) reported absolutely disgusting homophobic posts including one aimed at the players from a non ECNL club (just in case they're the only ones that matter to you). It was removed.

So get off your high horse and stop judging people when you don't know anything about them just so you can advance some sort of agenda.

Ask your DOC. There are a lot of reasonable people divorce. You ECNL coaches are a hoot. Sure can dish it out but once it starts to hit a little close to home you squeel like a little baby.

This entire thread has been 95% about NEFC resentment and attacks on Stars and Scorps. It's a huge living, breathing embarrassment to the NEFC club. In almost 1000 posts, there has not been a single, solitary concession that Stars and Scorps have been solid youth soccer clubs and produced solid results. The poster above is right. The proof is in the parallel death of the rising U15 thread, which also has been 95% about NEFC.

That speaks very clearly that the ECNL is the controversy not the age group. If it were just one person or one club posting this thread could have easily died out out after a few posts. It is the ECNL crowd that keeps these threads alive because they always respond. They can never fail to let even a single post go unchallenged and that invites all sorts of vitriol when the naysayers know they can get a rise out of them. It is actually quite humorous how they respond but at the same time it is also quite sad because the ECNL group clearly has some paranoia at work within their ranks. What is even sadder is they actually give creedence to many of the counter arguments because they simply cannot ignore them. If you want this thread to die quit pointing fingers at people. Thanks btdt. Very solid advice. The ECNL folks always respond and won't let venomous attacks go unchallenged. They should be stronger than that. And of course they are also responsible for the current U15 thread and the prior U13 and U14 threads that went on for thousands and thousands of pages. Who knew? Thanks for breaking this story so that now we can place blame squarely and more accurately where it belongs. Hey, if the glove doesn't fit, well then just jam it on anyway. ECNL is not controversial to those participating. The two clubs are not perfect, but for talented, dedicated players they are a pretty darn good choice...warts and all. Frantic posters, on the outside looking in, drive this thread with their untruths and innuendo. If your neighbor wrote you beat your wife on a public forum you, wouldn't ignore it.
