Naive or just an opportunist

It is so annoying to hear posters lay some claim of innocence when they come on these sites and try to show some 'holier than though' awareness of how clubs are trying to make money. STOP. This is a fact in every club!!!
The more successful clubs have multiple teams at multiple levels. MPS, NEFC, Stars and Scorpion girls are the most successful at this. To come on here and criticize the Bolts as if they are the only one is a bunch of BS. To come and make some kind of statement that the Bolts should try to be as successful as PDA or the Baltimore BAYS but then criticize the Bolts for having DAP and non-DAP teams is a crock. If you were to go on the Websites of these other clubs, you will find DAP and many many non-DAP teams.

This serves multiple purposes of which development, opportunity, and yes......money for the club is included.

If you find your child on a team and not playing much during the game......GET OUT!!! Stop complaining.....just leave. It is, in fact, a message whether it is written on paper or if it hits you in the face. The coach/club does not think highly of your child to play them. Go somewhere else to play....perhaps consider another sport.

The Bolts nonDAP program is what will keep the club a float. They should, in fact, be investing significant resources in developing these teams and, yes....dare I say.....win some games and show success.

Such stupid naive BS. Of course the Bolts want strong nonDAP teams. Well this year those teams U16 to U18, couldn't even make the top NEP division. They haven't made any showcase tournaments either. They are not in Region 1 or NE regional. They will play Needham and Bolt RI tournaments. Hows the girls side doing. Not only that, their younger teams are even worse. And this is because people bash them? I'm sorry. No one should offer any advice. They're doing great, right?

Reading the last few posts here, looks like people arguing past each other. It doesn't look like the OP was singling out the bolts, but this is a DAP thread. I think the point was that the bolts might help 'sell' their non-DAP squads by offering up some DP positions and DA playtime. After all, they're competing for players against clubs with heavy game schedules in multiple leagues and showcase tournaments. They could be making the case that the non-DAP squads offer great development by the example of players moving up. But that's not happening because those players aren't good enough, aren't interested, or the coaches aren't interested. Just something to keep in mind come July recruiting when they start promising DP positions to come with those nonDAP teams. Buyer beware.

Actually I was reading this thread and remembered some funny, cryptic stuff written about this player on another thread so, yes, I looked to see if he was playing for the Bolts or Revs having heard he went to a DAP program. Didn't go looking for his record specifically but sure got an eye-full. Why so defensive about a player who has 5 yellows, one red and was suspended from 2 games? And while we're on the subject and since another poster asked: no, I don't think he had a record quite this, shall we say, "noteworthy" when he played for EK.

I posted that comment about the trolls...Not defensive at all. Just pointing out how pathetic you are to troll around making random comments about a specific player and asking others to do the same.

I don't want to feed the troll - thing. Are we talking about some kid who in general is a behavior problem, not just on the field? My son went to a BC camp last summer, where these two U17 NEFC kids kept creating trouble and EK was running after them a lot, yelling, trying to get them to stop picking fights. Seemed like a well known problem. My son said they weren't good players anyway. The Bolts got stuck with one of these clowns?
