Let's talk about DOC that play with their balls. After all why should their club players have all the fun and who cares about development. Let's charge more money for kids to play in club soccer and reduce the practice time down to 1 hour. Wait, clubs are already doing this in MA and I better stop playing with my balls and put this on my club agenda for next year.
With 2 hours of practice per week, with 2 practice days per week and playing in NEP like some clubs that play there know that is not enough. Stop playing with your balls and maybe you might win State Cups.
If you cans not lead development in MA then follow the Stars, practice 1.5 hrs, 3x practices per week or like the Blazers, 1.5 hrs, 3x per week our the Cosmos 2x winter practices per week starting now as well as the Blazers.
Would you rather have your son practice 9 weeks of a season for 40.4 hrs or 18 hrs. Which clubs are short changing their players on development and winning state cups and not?

In order to figure out what breeds success one only has to look at teams who have a more proven track record and not only winning games, divisions, and titles but can they continue to do this with new teams in younger age groups and produce a similar effect. This coupled with producing individuals who go on to achieve great things shows a club, or perhaps a particular coach can properly develop winning players. Once you figure this out I'm 99% sure you'll find they train more than 3 hours per week and more than 8 months a year and overall they take the game seriously. If you want less by all means stay in town soccer and maybe play some mom and pop club for extra play time. Let those of us who want the very best search it out and demand better for our kids.
