Even at a big High School program, my daughter can't wait to get back with her club team. High School is a fun experience and it is wonderful to represent your school/town and bond with peers at school, but the soccer just isn't at that level that some girls crave.

My comment was that the level of soccer at a private HS or any other HS isn't the same as playing ECNL. It is obviously great if you have an opportunity to get a private school education at any of these schools, but for many girls, they still want to play soccer at a higher level. The only thing it has to do with Stars is the fact that someone said a girl left the Stars team and is now just playing at private school and training with the national team.

Regardless, the private school soccer at a number of these schools is pretty close to club in some incidences. It actually can be viewed as an advantage for young players too who are playing with good older club players. It can also provide many more hours of good soccer than club can. The key is the quality of coaching and players in the program.

The real problem with HS soccer is that there are two many games. There really isn't time to develop at all in the HS program. It is always playing games or game prep. In my case, I don't see the team really improving as the season goes on. The weaker girls aren't getting any better. It is just kind of going through motions. But hey...it is what it is. Playing for your HS is great. If soccer is your passion though, you aren't going to leave club for HS only.

U16 ENCL team should be renamed to the .....
to the Twins.
Stars gain is a huge loss for the U16 Scorpions. Does this Scorps team have enough players to field a team or are they going to back fill with U15 players.
