Summer league play is difficult to ascertain how good a team is - all depends on who shows up - there usually isn't a full varsity squad. Mostly kids who want to make a team. It would be great if there could be an exhibition game with the winners. Personally i"d like to see Nobles v LS only because there are club teammates on each team.

High School is a fun experience and it is wonderful to represent your school/town and bond with peers at school, but the soccer just isn't at that level that some girls crave.
Just out of curiosity, how many public schools still play a 4-4-2 stopper/sweeper format?

I made that comment. The question was why would a girl going to St. Marks or another private HS need to play ECNL. My comment was that the level of soccer at a private HS or any other HS isn't the same as playing ECNL. It is obviously great if you have an opportunity to get a private school education at any of these schools, but for many girls, they still want to play soccer at a higher level. The only thing it has to do with Stars is the fact that someone said a girl left the Stars team and is now just playing at private school and training with the national team.

Which was followed by 2 posts indicating that it wasn't enough to maintain that level of play. Regardless, the private school soccer at a number of these schools is pretty close to club in some incidences. It actually can be viewed as an advantage for young players too who are playing with good older club players. It can also provide many more hours of good soccer than club can. The key is the quality of coaching and players in the program.

I think you are right about playing with older players, but only if the older players are quality players. Unfortunately, that isn't always the case. The real problem with HS soccer is that there are two many games. There really isn't time to develop at all in the HS program. It is always playing games or game prep. In my case, I don't see the team really improving as the season goes on. The weaker girls aren't getting any better. It is just kind of going through motions. But hey...it is what it is. Playing for your HS is great. If soccer is your passion though, you aren't going to leave club for HS only.

But you see, too many games is not as big a problem at private schools who only play 1 or 2 games a week.

U16 ENCL team should be renamed to the .....

                  to the Twins.
Stars gain is a huge loss for the U16 Scorpions. Does this Scorps team have enough players to field a team or are they going to back fill with U15 players.

Stars always seemed to make the most sense, based on nothing more than geography. So what then was the reason for the 1.5 year detour to Braintree?

It still won't make up for the loss of S.N., what they lost was the threat of a true finisher.

A good sales pitch and $$ would be my guess....

A "true finisher" ? ....... you must not have been in attendence at any of their "big" (ECNL/Regionals) games.

Especially seeing that there is such a skill diffence between each twin. What's going to happen when only one twin from each set gets all the playing time.
