But I see a CT Team dominated in the 12's 11v... Better stay small and be that much more behind next year.
Rocky Hill. not really. scores were close and the MA teams were all second division MAPLE teams

What an exciting final! I hope the guy video taping got that header goal. That was beautiful to watch. Some good talent there.

Yes, just ignore all the evidence that small field play benefits young players. After all, what does the rest of the world know? Heck even the US has finally begun to catch on.
Don't pay any attention to the man behind the curtain...

Instead, lets get em on the "real field" so they can perfect their kick and run game and take advantage of the kids who hit puberty first. To hell with development.

Shows how recruiting can make a big difference in the sucess of a team. Perfect example is the U12 Blazers team. Most players were recruited from Bolts and Hammer when they were U10.

recruited? some of them, yes. There's nothing stopping someone from leaving if they're unhappy.

No one recruited that player to joining the MPS elite team. I guess he was unhappy where he was and he looked at several clubs before joining MPS. There were several very good players on that MPS U12 Elite team and if one kid is having an off day, then another kid will step up and play well.

Strong team but many players lack consistency especially on mid and defense. Lost to WU 6-1 in scorpion bowl. Where was your star then?? Not to take anything away from him as he is an incredibly talented player. MPS did not make him good. Even when he was with Stars, he was our best player.

Don't know who you're talking about but wanted to offer something. Every child starts from a foundation of talent than can only be cultivated. This talent level varies from one child to the next. Hard work improves a player, to be sure but each player (and this is the dominant factor) is at some point limited by the AMOUNT of talent he or she was born with.

Touched a nerve? It takes a team to play well as well as chemistry and not just one player. You are correct, MPS U12 Elite team lost against WU at the Scorpion Bowl and it happened that that 4 players were missing from that game that attended the NEFC tourney.

These are U12 boys and I guess that is how it is, some games they play well and others they do not. Just remember last Fall when the MPS U12 Elite second team beat WU first team 1 to 0 and it happened to be WU only loss that season. How did that happen that WU lost to a second MPS team? Maybe because they are just U12 boys and stuff happens.

Should we refer to this team as the MPS Bulldogs? Or the MPS Elites? From now on let's be consistent and call them the MPS Elite. Or better yet, let's drop the MPS prefix and just call them The Elites.

                          Ridiculous.

Coaches throw the word "Consistency" on their defensive line so much it has a kind of numbing effect. It takes mental toughness to be consistent. Often players miss games or practices making it difficult to maintain a certain level of play (making coaches extremely frustrated).

Right, the "cultivation" part is what the clubs do. Talent (which encompasses many things) is the governing factor that marks the truly elite player.

Put him on the team. Go Elites!
