Hey, does anyone know what club team LB from Canton plays for? She's committed to Maryland, right?

Ref did "let them play" & I thought HD did take another beating ( I can feel for LB, having watched same with HD all year). Agree with you that the beatings they take is unfortunate; do not understand ref's reluctance to limit this.
Peabody's D played well, although they tend to just boot it out of zone. They kept OA's scoring chances to a minimum.
Overall thought Peabody hung tough, played scrappy, withstood some early pressure & wore down OA's defense.
OA had a slight advantage in play the first half and was able to capitalize on one of their few scoring opportunities. Peabody had a slight advantage in the second half. Both teams looked to be a little fatigued as the game approached the end of regulation and entered OT. This is typically when the more skilled and talented players have the edge and can take advantage of even the slightest breakdown. Aka: peabody's goal.
I would not be surprised to see these two teams do battle again next year. Both teams will be strong again next season.

I too believe the official "let them play" but HD clearly is an artist at trying to draw a foul. A little too much for this poster but that is based on a limited (few games) exposure.

Very interesting discussion on the drawing fouls/diving, as I have seen the same type of play from the canton striker as well numerous times. also lots of loud shrieks when down inside the box (especially when frustrated by no-name high school defenders). Is this something that strikers are taught in general?

Diving/drawing a foul is a unique and talented skill. Those that are effective at this skill are also likely to be the same that over use it to their demise. A good official (one that played the game) will likely pick up on the effort and may not call the legitimate fouls.
I have seen it work and applauded the effort when it worked for my daughter's team and and will admit to reluctant admiration when it worked against my daughter's team. That being said, it should be used on a limited and tactical basis. HD in my humble opinion, is guilty of too much diving. She is a better player than that and may be hurting herself with this approach.
Before anyone beats me up for these comments... She is an extremely talented player and I hope a coach can help her be more selective and capitalize on this talent.
She will be a very successful player no matter my opinion.

This is a most ugly part of the most beautiful game that will never be eliminated. We should not embrace and applaud cheating...however effective.
