Duxbury vs. Whitman-Hanson today down in the South.....should be a good one.

I think Duxbury and W-H tied the first time around so it should be a good game.

What is the Globe's love affair with Winchester? Also, looking at their schedule & league, Feehan seems a stretch at #6.

Personally, I think espn boston does a much better job with their rankings. They give a little write up on each team, and it seems like they actually take into account the league played in, strength of schedule, etc.

            O’Brien is not alone

The book is out on Concord-Carlisle High’s team: Stop Andrea O’Brien (31 goals, seven assists), the leading scorer in Eastern Massachusetts, and a win is in sight.

“I think it’s a mistake to think Andrea is the only way we score,’’ said Slocum, in her 14th year coaching the Patriots. “But I can see why people can draw that conclusion. She’s able to score in a variety of ways. She’s difficult to stop. But I think we have many people who are capable of scoring.’’

I think Feehan has a couple of talented players but I agree they pretty much play a cake schedule as well. Will be interesting to see how they fare against Canton later this week and then in the sectional.

It’s interviews like this that makes you wonder what game LB is watching, or is he just there to push his MPS agenda.

I thought he left MPS? Plus most people realize that many coaches are watching what they want to watch and seeing what they want to see. For the educated sideliner, you often think you are in an alternate universe.

Here is this week's top 5 in D1 North:

                    1. Lincoln Sudbury
                    2. Andover
                    3. Peabody
                    4. Lexington
                    5. Central Catholic

                    D2 North:

                    1. Stoneham
                    2. Belmont
                    3. Newburyport
                    4. Bishop Fenwick
                    5. Tewksbury

L/S takes top spot because of Andover's tie with CC. First time in over a decade that Danvers isn't a top 5 team in the North.

“We’ve been trying to put it together and tonight it happened all at once,” said A-B coach Lee Billiard, whose team secured a spot in the MIAA Division 1 North tournament with an 8-4-3 mark. “We had the work rate, the technical skills and we put it all together. This is what we’ve been waiting for all season.”

Don't even know the guy, but is their some hidden message in these words??? The team beats a team they lost to earlier in the season 4-0 and you people see something omnious in the coach's statement??? Are you serious???
